Pharmacy Technician Externship Program

Walgreens has developed partnerships with colleges, community colleges, and vocational programs that offer pharmacy technician training programs. Through these partnerships, we provide pharmacy technician students across the country with real life on-the-job training in our drugstores.

Our externship program is an excellent opportunity for students to:

•	Experience the day-to-day responsibilities of a pharmacy technician
•	Train under our knowledgeable pharmacy staff
•	Gain exposure to cutting edge retail pharmacy technology
•	Learn what it takes to work for the nation’s leading retail drug store

As a result of our growth, we plan to create over 10,000 new pharmacy technician jobs over the next 5 years.
