Careers: Executive Assistant
Like the MGT position, the Executive Assistant position is designed for those who are in training, both on the job and through Company training programs, to acquire the management and technical skills necessary to become a Store Manager. As an EXA, your main responsibility is assisting the Store Manager in the operation of the store and in the direction of the work force. You will direct, coordinate, and manage the activities, plans and programs of the immediate staff within the guidelines of authorized Company policies, budgets, laws, and good business ethics. Like your Store Manager, you will be accountable for improving unit sales, profits and image through the overall development and protection of store assets, the training and development of store personnel, and the proper service to all customers. Many of the management skills you need are gained through mentoring by the Store Manager, as well as an extensive training program, Applied Drug Store Management (ADSM). You will be required to complete and pass this three session, nine day program that covers every aspect of Drug Store Management from Pharmacy Operations to Regional Perspectives. Once the District Manager has determined that you are ready for promotion, you will be given a position as Store Manager, either in your current market, or in another market that interests you.
