Careers:	Management Trainee

The Management Trainee (MGT) position is designed only for those who are in training, both on-the-job and through company training programs, to acquire the management and technical skills necessary to become a Walgreen Store Manager. As an MGT, you will work one-on-one with your Store Manager, spending time in each department learning day to day operations. You will also complete an extensive training program, including Excel Assistant Manager Training and the Electronic Data Interchange multimedia training. You will also gain skills through hands-on training and responsibility for maintaining store appearance, customer service, and inventory as designated by Store Manager. Promotions are based on performance and productivity. When the District Manager deems you fully prepared, he or she will promote you to Executive Assistant Manager (EXA).
