Prevention. It's the best medicine.
Staying well is a community effort. Offering quality preventive care to many more people is one
way Walgreens achieves that. We are equipped to provide a full list of CDC-recommended
vaccinations in each one of our pharmacies, along with flu shots throughout the flu season, and
pneumonia and shingle shots year-round at select locations.
Choose from a broad array of
vaccines available at our Centers of Excellence:
- Hepatitis A and B
- Human papillomavirus (HPV)
- Influenza
- Japanese encephalitis
- Measles, mumps, rubella
- Meningitis
- Pneumonia
- Polio (inactivated)
- Rabies
- Shingles
- Tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis (whooping cough)
- Typhoid fever (inactivated and live)
- Varicella (chicken pox)
- Yellow fever
We're available when you are.
Vaccinations
are offered on a walk-in basis whenever our pharmacies are open, including evenings and
weekends. Online appointments can be made, as well. It's a great opportunity to reach those who
may not otherwise get immunized.
We have multiple claims adjudication options available to process payment under medical or
pharmacy benefit plans or direct-to-employer arrangements.
Results that measure up
There's proof in preventive care. Studies
have shown that the Influenza immunizations:
- Save potentially $90,000 per year for every 1,000 people
receiving flu shots 1
- Reduce the number of upper respiratory infection-related visits
to healthcare providers by up to 44% 1
- Decrease lost workdays by up to 45% 2
