Play ball! The sun is out and it’s time to get active. Soccer, baseball, lacrosse, track—whatever sport you’re gearing up for, make sure you have all the outdoor sport essentials to have a happy and healthy sports season:
Pack a first aid kit. You never know when you’ll need it, but you know you don’t want to be without it. You’ll want your basic bandages for small scrapes and cuts, but also pack medicated cleansing wipes and antibiotic ointment to stop infection. Other things that will be helpful for sport injuries may be self-wrap bandages, ice packs, and pain relievers.
Stay safe in the sun. After a season of indoor sports, your skin isn’t ready for the intensity of the sun’s rays. Sport spray sunscreen is great for when you’re staying active outdoors. Reapply frequently to avoid sunburn and skin damage.
Kill those germs. With all of that mud and dust tracked around from a fun game, be sure to keep antibacterial wipes in your bag. Always wipe down your hands before taking a snack break to keep the germs away.
Stick to healthy snacks. Steer clear from overly-sugary snacks when trying to stay active. Fruit is a great option so your body can absorb the vitamins and nutrients. Well-balanced trail mixes are a good choice too and help you stay energized.
Keep hydrated. Drinking water keeps your body well and active; don’t forget your water bottle!
