As seen in the spring issue of Happy + Healthy: Your Guide to Living Well with Walgreens, we look at the story of Andrea, a strong woman who gained insight on life, happiness, and the meaning of beauty all while losing 50 pounds!
One of Andrea’s tips to weight loss and healthy diet was a filling meal replacement shake. Full of carbohydrates and protein, this shake is a filling and nutritious alternative to meals. Along with a solid exercise game plan, Andrea was able to get healthy and gain control of her weight. Check out the recipe for her meal replacement shake:
1/2 cup almond or soy milk
1/2 cup water
1-2 tbsp of dehydrated peanut butter (It has all of the yummy taste of peanut butter with a fraction of the fat and calories!)
Combine in a blender, and voila! A healthy, filling and delicious shake that tastes like a peanut butter cup. I sometimes add a banana to it as well. -Andrea
