The Location Based Program offers eligible students $5,000* per year for their final two years in pharmacy school. It is offered to students who are hired by Walgreens and want to work in the following areas after graduation. Note: Some of the states listed below can only offer this award for select stores. Not all of the stores within each state can offer the Location Based Award. Please contact the district office or email peap@walgreens.com for further information.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR THE LOCATION BASED PROGRAM:

• Be in one of your final two years of pharmacy school
• Be a past or present Walgreens Employee
• Be recommended by a Walgreens District Pharmacy Supervisor, District Manager, and the Educational Assistance Program Committee

*A student's participation in the Location Based program will replace his/her participation in our other Educational Assistance Programs for the same year. Upon graduation, students who participate in the Location Based Program are required to work as full-time registered pharmacists in the geographic area where they received the award, and for the same number of years they participated in the program. If a student leaves Walgreens before that period of time elapses, he/she will have to repay the award received (see application for repayment terms).
