The Medicare Part D funding gap - commonly known as the "donut hole" - will close in 2020.
Until then, you'll see improved benefits to help pay for your prescription medications. In 2013, you'll see an automatic 52.5 percent price discount on brand-name prescription drugs and a 21 percent discount on generic medications
The price discount for 2014 is 28 percent on generics and 52.5% on brand-name prescription drugs.
