Water filters

If you have a water pitcher or water filtration unit in your home, you need water filters. These filters remove impurities from tap water or other water that you pour into the pitcher. Choosing replacement filters is sometimes a difficult task because you do not know what type you need.

Choosing replacement filters

Your filtration unit should have its name listed on the handle or the bottom of the pitcher. Most companies list the names of any pitchers that the water filters service directly on the box. Look for any special designs on your water filters, including cut outs or grooves. The replacement water filters should contain the same design. You can also find water pitcher cartridges made by another manufacturer that still fit your unit.

Other water pitcher products

Water pitchers are not your only option if you want clean water. You can also find travel cups that filter the water you drink. The straw serves as the filter on these cups, giving you clean drinking water no matter where you go. After a few weeks of regular use, you must replace the straw with a new water filter. You also have the option of purchasing colored water pitchers for your home. These pitchers filter tap water, removing the impurities and toxins found in your regular drinking water. A colored water pitcher uses the same water filters as any other type of water filtration unit.
