Walgreens Take Care Health Tour
In 2008, the Walgreens Take Care Health Tour rolled into 300 cities on a 12-month nationwide health screening tour. The tour features 10 customized traveling health education and screening vehicles. All told, the buses traveled more than 240,000 miles and are gearing up for many more miles this year.
As unique as each state is in making up our country, so are the people our crewmembers meet along the way. From state to state, our team meets people from every walk of life with common health care needs. One Alabama man says a stop in Huntsville may have saved his life. He never planned on checking out the Wellness Tour until he got curious after seeing a big red bus in town. After initial screenings and follow-up care, he discovered he was diabetic.
