This was a life savor for us! While in the NICU I was told my son had a reflux and wasnt holding anything down. He was put on a feeding tube. I tried nursing him and supplementng and it seemed regular enfamil and breast milk was just hurting him. It would shoot out his mouth and nose every feeding. After trying about 4 other formulas my ped suggested this. We saw a difference right away. Dont get me wrong he still spits up but much much less, and do to the added rice starch its thick enough to just come up and not out his nose. At first we had trouble mixing but after investing in the Dr Browns formula mixer it is just as easy as regular formula,and gets all the clumps out. Try this it works!

This formula is wonderful for babies who have severe acid reflux. They can keep it down easier. The only thing is it is hard to mix. I got around that by buying a very small inexpensive blender to mix it in and that worked wonders. Now we dont have any problems with it.

I tried everything to help my son with spitting up. He's allergic to soy so we couldn't use that. After some research online, I tried Enfamil AR and he hasn't spit up hardly at all! This is a life saver! I make the bottles for the day then refridgate them, it helps with the foam but takes them a while to heat up.

I have triplets (2 girls and a boy), they are 10 months old now. My girls had real bad Acid Reflux, they couldn't keep any milk down, they were crying and colicy all the time, it was terrible having to deal with being a first time mother for triplets let alone all the screaming and crying. Nothing helped, they were on Zanatc and they hated it and it wasn't helping that much, i've never seen such a small baby who can throw up like a fountain this much, parents with babies who have acid reflux know what i am talking about...finally, their new Ped told me about Enfamil AR and what a life saving this has been, yes it is more expensive than any other formula but seeing your baby feeding well with very little throw ups and gaining weight and sooooo happy is priceless, this really really works.

The enfamil AR caused my son to have really bad constipation and made him very sick. He had to be put on Similac Alimentum . My friends son got put in the hospital from sevre constipation from the Enfamil AR . The stuff just backs newborns up bad!

Great product! My daughter does not spit up any more!!! If she does it's a tiny bit.

It DOES NOT MIX WELL.

I found if you shake it as usual and then pour it through a fine strainer it take out ALL the clumps!!! OR use a Y cut nipple.

This product is amazing, my son is 3 months old and has reflux, the doctor wanted to prescribe a drug for him to help it but suggested that we try this product first. It has been wonderful and he no longer spits up! It is really easy to mix as well as long as you use a blender, any foam that is created stays in the blender and does not end up in the bottle.

We used Enfamil AR with our first child and it dramatically reduced spit-up episodes and reflux symptoms when our child was already being treated with Zantac. As soon as our second child started showing symptoms of reflux, we switched right back to it and so far it has helped tremendously. It is difficult to mix and does tend to foam. I found it is best to mix 24 hours worth at once and store in the refridgerator. Using a wire wisk to mix it helps reduce the foam and after a couple hours in the refridgerator the foam is usually gone.

EnFamil is good for easy diagestion.But it doesnt mix well with water.Good start dissolves well.

I'm a first time mom but I still think that Enfamil A.R. is the best for frequent spitups. You don't have to mix cereal with the regular formula because it is already added. The only thing is that you have to mix it right away or else you will end up with big clumps of formula. I use the formula dispenser and shake it right away so you don't have to take time to measure when you are making the bottle. Also, when you shake the bottle it makes lots of foam on the milk. So I use the Dr. Brown's bottles for the air so I don't have to let the bottle sit for five minutes waiting for the foam to go down. You don't have to shake it. If you use a spoon to stir the formula you won't have foam. It's kind of expensive but it is well worth the price. When you have a child like mine who at 1 month old ended up with bronchilitis after aspirating because of the reflux you will do whatever it takes to keep her from getting sick. So if you want your child to stay full longer and not have gas use Enfamil A.R. and Dr. Brown's bottles.

Our baby has been plagued by reflux for nearly most of his short, five month life. After having several bouts of gassiness and fussiness, the doc switched him from regular Enfamil LIPIL to Gentlease. This worked wonders for his fussiness and gas. However, it did nothing to correct his spitting up. He was spitting up so much, I didn't understand how he could possibly be gaining weight. The doc once again switched his formula and put him on Enfamil AR. This has been a miracle formula! My son is eating more AND hardly spitting up at all. If he spits up, it is only a few drops and most of the time, he doesn't spit up all day. The only downfall is that the powder formula does not mix well. You have to shake the heck out of it and then there are copious amounts of foam that you have to let settle and I even sometimes add Mylicon to it to help reduce the foam.

After having to change my sons formula a number of times. I was given a sample of Enfamil A.R Lipil. Within 24 hours of him being on it he has pretty much stopped spitting up. He is now a very content and happy baby. He used to cry all the time. There is no way that I would ever switch back to the formula that he was on.

My son didn't really have issues with spitting up until about 7 months old. After weeks of trying to figure out if this sudden change was food related we finally contacted the doctor. While there he spit up 3 times, but is perfectly content while it happens. It is unusual for a baby at his age to start spitting up this frequently and the amount that was coming up. Since he was not bothered by the episodes the doctor wanted us to try this formula over the weekend to see if there was any improvement. WHAT A CHANGE!!! He went from spitting up at least 4-5 times a day to once if at all. And the even better part was that my son was not bothered by the sudden change in formula. Finally I can put away the carpet cleaner and my laundry duties have been greatly reduced. An excellent product.

Finally, a formula that works and my baby enjoys the taste. We used Similac and she didnt like the taste and it cause horrible spitting up episodes. We've been using Enfamil AR for almost a week now, and the spitting up has stopped and she is able to keep the milk down. My baby loves the taste and seems to be full and content after feedings and she takes longer naps now. I wish I knew about this product before, maybe it would have prevented all the spitting up and my daughter wouldnt have had to deal with the horrible taste of Similac. I would definitely recommend this to any mom with a baby that has reflux.

My baby was having horrible spitting up episodes with Similac. I don't think she really liked the taste. I switched to Enfamil AR and the spitting up was reduced and now it has stopped. She seems to enjoy the taste of the AR and seems more full and content afterwards. I would prefer using this product rather than just adding cereal to formula -this is already done for you. I'm glad we finally found a formula that my baby likes the taste of and is able to keep down. I think Enfamil formula is the best.

After going through 3 different types of formula this is the one that FINALLY worked for us. We started with Iron then went to Soy.

After a bad bout of constipation/fussiness/gas we went to Gentlease (it did curb the fussiness), but that caused horrible spitting up episodes so after my store was out of it and I needed formula RIGHT NOW I tried A.R. and I didn't have the fussiness or spitting up issues that I was having!

For once he was actually satified after a feeding (where as he would suck on his binky for at least an hour after feeding even after increased feeding amounts). A.R. is a life saver and I have a now 8 week old who has been satified enough after his last feeding that he has been sleeping through the night for 5 weeks!!

The ONLY down fall to A.R. is it CAN be hard to mix if you put the powder in then pour the water and walk away for a second. You HAVE to mix it right after the water his the powder or you're going to have a problem with formula sticking to the bottom of the bottle that is simular to concrete!!
