Rebate Refused!
By ken from iowa on 12/31/2006
Pros:
Nice big display
Cons:
Routing is strange
Best Uses:
Viewing Movies

Support Plus has refused my valid rebate by email with no way to reply to them. The rebate phone number never reaches a human being.

Good hardware but bad software. GPS rerouting asked me to turn right and then make a u-turn instead of just turning left. My 20 year old home is not on their map. Yet the GPS signal reception is good.

Movies with xvid compression at 20 frames/sec play nicely and 2 or 3 will fit on a 2 gigabyte SD card.

Works well for the price
By chester203 from Naugatuck, CT on 12/19/2006
Pros:
Easy To Read, Easy To Set Up, Simple Controls
Best Uses:
Auto

Purchased one because the maps are updateable for 3 years for no charge. It is a little more expoenive than the magellan 300 that I also have and compared it with. Tracking is similar to the 300 but I like the fact that with the batteries it does not turn off every time you turn off the car. Like the 300 it will get you to your destination but not always the way you would go if you know the area. I give it 4 stars and not 5 because the maps (probably not any different than any others) are not totally accurate as to where some addresses are, it will get you to the correct street but where the house or building # may be up or down the road. I have used it only for a full week and have entered in about 30-50 addresses and it was inaccurate on only one, but a GPS is only as good as the maps. I hope that when I update the maps in the future, some of these problems may be fixed (maybe, maybe not). Overall works well for the price I paid.

I would buy this for anyone
By The boater from Detroit, MI on 12/15/2006
Pros:
Easy To Read, Easy To Set Up, Reliable Performance, Simple Controls, Strong Construction
Cons:
None
Best Uses:
Auto, Travel

Easy to read screen. Voice is very understandable. Very easy to use. Accurate directions. Much easier to use than our Garmin 76CS. Manual is understandable. Great for all ages. I would recommend this over some of the more expensive products. We used it on a 700 mile trip and it worked great even in some remote areas!
