The Ionic Bulb does actually make the air smell cleaner and fresh. I have one in a bathroom and when turning it on you can quickly tell the difference. I'm slowly going to replace all of the bulbs in my house with these.

I bought two of these for a rental property I have that has been un occupied for several weeks. We havve had a very damp spring and the basement smelled very musty! I put two Ionic bulbs in the basement and in a day it smelled like a fresh spring day down there! IONIC bulbs are GREAT!
