This product is awesome!!!

I understand that everyone's facial or body hair is different. Just make sure you understand that! The hair on my legs grow north, south east and west! SO. . . be aware of things like this, and I'm sure you will see a smart, smooth result.

Time factor? We all have that, think . . . ., while watching TV, sitting on outside patio, talking on phone, etc. (As mentioned before, the user uses it after a shower.) After an evening shower, I pillow prop in bed, watch evening TV, out comes the "Smooth Away". Now that I know hair growth patterns, I zip through it very easily. Relax, it's really easy, gentle, and smoother than any shave.

I think it would be "VERY" difficult if someone used it straight on to long hairy arms, legs, etc. . . remember the "AD" claims the length of hair one starts using this product "IS VERY IMPORTANT".

5 THUMBS UP FROM ME, and yes I DO RECOMMEND this product.

Take a bath or shower; when your skin is still damp (THIS IS MOST IMPORTANT), begin using Smooth Away. It not only removes hair (fine and coarse) but it also STOPS IN-GROWN HAIRS and REMOVES DEAD SKIN. I even use it on my feet. I don't recommend trying to do all areas at once. My sister had used this product on her legs, and they were amazingly smooth. So I decided to try it on my arm, it didn't get rid of a single hair there. I was upset but I tried my legs and thighs. It worked amazing! It did hurt just a bit but the pain ended quickly. It took a while to get rid of the hair and was bit hard to do on knees and areas like that.

My friend and I decided to try out this product. [@] We tried it out, after we read the instructions. We both figured that it wouldn't be the best, but decided to try it out anyways. The woman that checked us out had told us that she bought it for her and her daughter and she said that it took forever and the results concluded that the shave was not close enough. We both found somewhat same results. We decided to use this product on our arms, and we immediately got results in that it REALLY DOES exfoliate, and it does smell bad because it's burning the hair off so you know...lol and also it did take awhile. But you know if you use other exfoliators it takes awhile too so it was worth a shot. And don't press hard because your skin will get irritated and sore. I used this product on my legs, it worked alittle bit, probably better on finer hair. We both tried it on our faces and I would say we got results, but DO NOT press hard, or you'll like rip your skin off. It doesn't feel like sandpaper either, just ...it's like smooth emery board, no idea what else to call it. Best of Luck! We will be buying more of this product to use for between-shaves!

I've never shaved my legs. I've been waxing them my whole life so my hair is probably much thinner than the hair of those who shave their legs. Smooth Away worked well for me. Although it took some time, it did take less time then waxing.

There were a few tiny stubborn patches of hair that were harder to get off, but overall, my legs are very smooth and hair free.

I have only tried using the product on my legs so I'm not sure how it will work on other areas of my body or how it will work on coarser hair.

I probably will not use this to remove my hair all the time. I think I will stick to waxing and using Smooth Away for patches of hair that grow in between waxes.

I bought this product and its horrible. I tryed it on my legs and it hardly worked. And a couple of days ago i used it on my arms. I have fine hair on my arms but i had to use 2 pads on each arm and you have to rub so hard to get the hair off that after i finally got most of it off and put lotion on it burned. My skin burned for 2 days after using it and i have scabs all over my arms. I dont usually write reviews but i figured if i could save someone else the trouble i would let them know exactly what they are getting. I will never use this product again, your better off just shaving.

I bought this product so i didn't have to shave. But it let me down. It took forever to shave just one leg and it does not work on under arms. Also the pads only lasted me about two uses and i am not planning to go every one to two months to spend ten dollars on replacement pads...i rather just shave, waaaayyy quicker!

I bought this because I'd heard it works, but Smooth Away is downright awful. It took two whole pads and ten minutes to remove less than half the hair on just one of my calves, and by that time my hand and arm were cramping up from how hard you have to press (it says not to press too hard in the directions, but if you're not digging into the skin, nothing comes off). Technically, it does work, but given how much less time and money shaving costs, I would rather risk the razor burn and cuts than put up with the hassle of rubbing a rough piece of paper across my skin for an hour.

i love this product it is absolutely excellent.i gave one to my teenage daughter because she goes to a school that wears skirts and it works for us both. we both it use daily and my husband even uses it on his facial hair.the only problem is that when you are finished you have to put lotion on it or it wont look that good.

I bought this product since it was only $10 and I HATE shaving. I loved it. It took the hair off of my legs. It does leave your skin dry, but just put on some lotion and you are fine. I absolutely love it! I bought it on my lunch break and was able to be stubble free (on my legs) all while sitting at my desk. It was fast and easy to use straight from the box. No bumps, cuts, odors, or mess. It did leave my skin white and ashy looking like it says in the instructions but all I needed was a little lotion and viola, smooth and radiant legs in minutes!!! I have thick course hair and it worked like a charm. I live in an area with water restrictions and this product is the perfect way to help cut back on water usage. I've tried shaving with razors of all sorts, waxing, creams, you name it and I have found the best solution until I can afford laser hair removal that is.

When I first read reviews about this no one seemed to like it. I was skeptical when I bought it but I LOVE IT!! The key is PATIENCE. On my first try I used it on my arm hair and it took about 30 minutes for both arms because I was trying to figure out the right amount of pressure to use. I loved the results so much that the next day I used it on my face which I was afraid to do because my face is very sensitive but it worked wonderfully. The only thing I can compare using it to is if you've ever used sanding paper. And just like sanding paper it can be time consuming, at first, and if the wrong amount of pressure is applied you will make mistakes. I love this product and I highly recommend it.

I have very sensative skin, so I followed the directions to the letter.I felt a bit of irritation after use. I patted my face with a cold compress, the next day my face was blistered and burned. I had to go to the dermatologist for treament. I was treated for burns and permanent scaring.

Well I wasted 10 dollars that I extremely want back! I really wish I could say it works but it doesn't. It smooths the hair but doesn't get rid of it! It might work on some people but not on me. I love this product, If you say it dosnt work than it means you did it wrong because it worked great for me and I have very sensitive skin, I always get razor burn from shaving but this did not effect me badly. It left my legs feeling smooth and hairless!!

It's my first try with this product and it worked great on my legs - which admittedly were way past due for a shave. Took a little longer than a wet shave (maybe), but no mess, no cuts, no nicks, etc. I 'shaved' my legs with this product while watching TV in the den.

bought the smooth away for my just learning to shave preteen. You had to press hard and go over the same area numerous times. Left a red painful rash that took a few days to clear up. The store should pull this product from the shelves. It is a scam if it doesnt even work on fine hair.

I have both fine and coarse hair I use it on and I have never been more happy with a hair removing product. Sure the hair returns faster than with waxing, but I have no more watery eyes and pain to clear the mouth and chin area. If you have thick dark hair, then don't waste your money on this product. It's just not worth it. You'll be circling and circling the skin to get nowhere!

Although the product is easy to use, I wasn't crazy about the fact that it really didn't remove much hair. By the time you finished with a 3" strip down the leg, it was worn out and you needed to put on another patch. It's a money stealer.

I was really hoping this product would work. I didn't expect miracles but I thought it would at least work so I don't have to shave as often. Well, that's not true. The one thing the product does do, is make your legs smooth. It's almost like an exfoliator, your legs do feel smooth until you wake up the next day and see that all the hair you thought you removed is back. And, it does not work on longer hair at all. In the commercial it was being used on a man's chest, this product will not work on that much hair or hair of that length- it only works on stubble and even then it only stays smooth for a day or two max. If you would like smooth legs in between shavings then it might be ok to use; otherwise its useless.

My dad showed me this and looking at reviews I had a 50/50 chance at liking or loving this product. I wanted to believe this was a good product but unfortunately it wasn't. It didn't do well with my legs and only got 4 or 5 hairs off so I moved to my upper lip. Boy did that worsen. Nothing happened and it smelt [...]. I hated the smell. I bought this because I absolutely HATE to shave...well, I would rather shave! First, you have to push really hard in order to get it to work on the legs. One person said in a previous review that it is like sandpaper...well it is, but it is not that rough. It is very very fine. It does work if you want to spend at minimum an hour on your legs...and it would be way quicker for me to shave!

Useless under the best conditions. Save yourself some money and go to the hardware store and buy the lightest grit you can get. It works just as well. Can cause excessive skin irritation if used on delicate skin. Shaving is faster and cleaner.

This product is awesome! Use it as directed and your legs (or wherever) are soo smooth!! It has to be done about as often as standard shaving but the hair is much softer when it does grow back. The product is so easy to use that whenever you sitting around you can grab it and use it.

Works great for my baby fine leg hair but not at all anywhere else i.e. armpits, bikini, etc. I tried it on my hubby's chest hair and it did nothing. It seems to be okay for very fine hair and leaves my legs smooth for a few days so I will stick with it in that regard, but it is useless for everything else.

This is not a product for a fast fix like a razor, but it only took 4 minutes a leg. (we timed) I use it as I watch tv when I am relaxing! It is terrific! My skin is smooth as a baby's bottom! I am extremely sensitive and I have NO reactions of bumps like after shaving or rash and it doesn't hurt at all. I own a salon and have been telling all my clients! I'm glad we don't do waxing services cause this would hamper that terribly!

I bought this product - hoping that the good reviews were right. I didn't have problems with irritation, but I don't have very sensitive skin. The product works - if you want to take an HOUR to smooth your legs... and you want to do it 3x a day. I can usually shave one day and still be relatively stubble free the next. I used this when I got it home at 3pm - when I went to bed at 10 my legs were stubbly!!

Don't bother unless you have money and TIME to waste!!

I'm a red head, and have fine hair anyway,and it didn't even take my hair off. I tried it on my face and legs. It smoothes some hair away, but always left a stubble. I can't imagine it doing anything for people with coarser hair. For it to do anything, you would have to change the inserts everytime, and spend a fortune on them. Save your money!

Save your money. The TV ads of women, and men, smoothing away hair with this product are completely fraudulent. This is akin to rubbing a bicycle tire patch over your skin. My skin had a bad reaction to it, to boot. Discovered in Europe? Perhaps someone there had an urgent need to unload tire patches.

I bought this product to use mainly on my chin (getting older, you know!) and at first it seemed to work. However, the next morning I had to do it again and it was just easier to use the tweezers. Forget about using it on your legs - your hand gets tired from all the "circling" before you get the results. I'm keeping it for emergency use on a trip but I wouldn't buy it again.

I went by directions and it worked for me. Used mostly on upper lip and chin. A little tender but not red. Also seemed to buff off a few imperfections. I have not used enough yet to see what long term results will be.

I used this for my upper lip. I have fine,blonde hair above my lip.It isnt very noticeable. But I know its there. I usually just"pluck" the hairs when they appear. Anyway, I used this product. At first I was very pleased. Hair was gone and it was very quick & easy. Within 2-3 days, the area I had treated "broke out".I would rather have not so noticeable hairs than sore,red, under the surface pimples.

I'm not a very hairy person but I find myself drawn to hair removal products. I was anxious to try Smooth Away, and when I did, it wasn't worth it at all. I tried it on my legs and my face in the moustache area and irritated all areas that I used it on. Followed the directions. Hair doesn't come "off" as easily as shown on TV...SURPRISE! And was pain free while doing it. But is like taking a nail file and rubbing it on your skin. About 15 minutes after use my skin started to feel like it did when you get a rug burn! I will stick to razor and shaving cream!

This product is totally ineffective. It seems to me that the person that came up with this product probably never used it because it doesn't work. Don't waste your time or money on this one.

So, the only reason I am giving this more than one star is simply because it did work on my upper lip, albeit with some irritation. Just to get it to remove my thin light hair, you have to rub your skin roughly.
I even grew out my hair on my legs and bikini area to a 1/4 of an inch like the directions recommend and this product did absolutely nothing! I rubbed and rubbed in circular motions. I even reread the directions to make sure I didn't miss anything or my technique was off. Nope, I did it just like they said. NOTHING!
It is hard for me not to question some of the women that have said it works. What did you do that was different from what I did? This product is definitely not worth buying.

"Three times" clockwise and then counter..... doesn't work the first time but,it does thereafter. Common sense tells anyone, don't over do anything. If you over do certain areas it will irritate skin. That's nothing a little moisturizer won't cure! Leaves skin smooth and exfoliated.

My 70 yr old mom bought this for me and I was cracking up. But then I tried it and Loved it. I can see where it may irritate sensitive skin if you rub to hard. But it worked well for me. I did my legs while watching tv. So easy to use. I am going to get more. One for the glove box and one for the pool bag there is now no excuse for razor stubble ever!!!!!! Love it, I can't say that enough

IT WOULD BE CHEAPER AND EASIER TO BUY AT HARDWARE STORE--THE SANDPAPER--AND AT LEAST YOU WOULD KNOW THAT IT WOULD HURT YOUR SKIN--IT COULD CAUSE GREAT DAMAGE BY IRRITATING THE SKIN

The commercials for this product do not mention the fact that you are basically using sandpaper. My skin was very irritated but luckily the directions said to use a cotton ball and some milk to soothe the area.

Ok, I was so disappointed when I tried this product. I followed the instructions...3 times clockwise then 3 times counterclockwise...and what? It removed SOME hair but not all of it. My result wasn't smooth skin, but stubble. It did not give me a close shave. I had to go over the same area on my leg about 10 times before all the hair was finally removed. I can't imagine how long it'd take me to shave my entire body...forever! I cannot trust this product. I trust my regular razor shaver A LOT more. Unlike Smooth Away, it gets the job done right...and right away.

I tried it as soon as I got home; less than 10 minutes later, my legs and arms are smoother than ever! Shaving does not even compare to the smoothness you will receive from this product. The worst thing about this product, is I did not believe it would really work this great and was too skepticle to purchase it before today!

amazing! got it upon recommendation of many of my friends.
It's fab! I HATE HATE HATE shaving, but this, while the first time took forever (because.. err.. it'd been MONTHS.. since I shaved my legs) I love how soft my legs are.. and the hair is gone! no cuts like shaving, and no wasted time in the shower/bath getting cold trying not to miss a single spot. :P

Worked great on my husbands arm hair, but mine is fine and it did not work as well. Did pretty well on leg hair. Left skin silky smooth. Great exfoliater.

it was easy to give a little elbow grease on my legs. it left my legs feeling sooooo smooth, and pretty much hairless(in the areas i did it right) it was harder to give elbow grease on my underarms. my left arm pit was easier than my right; because i am right handed. you have to like, scrub hard, and my left arm is not as strong as my right. i tried to use on my butt. it did not do what i wanted it to do, but that is because i could not put use elbow grease back there. maybe if someone did your backside for you, it would work. i tried to use it...down there. the upper part was ok, but i could not do the lower part. lol, [...]was that TMI?

I have psoriasis and have a difficult time shaving my legs. I always end up with more cuts than smooth, hairless legs. Hair removal creams irritate my skin no matter how mild they are. The Smooth Away product is a Godsend. I saw it at Walgreens one day and decided to try it. I'm glad I did. There is no pain when the hair is rubbed off in the manner instructed by the makers of this product. God bless the creator of Smooth Away. Thank you so much.

Works great, but replacement pads are nowhere to be found! Don't want to keep buying an entire kit every month! So far the only place I've found replacement pads is [...] and the package includes both large and small... I only want the large ones!

ok. I love this product. I have really dark hair on my arms and I have always been scard of shaving. So it removes hair well and stays smooth for like a week. Hair does not grow back hard or course. The only con is the pads don't last very long. 1 use for me..

followed instructions as directed...tried on both coarse hair and thin hair, did nothing whatsoever...well, it DID make my skin smooth...so thats about it...didnt get rid of any hair tho.
