I just want to take the time to write this review to all the people that are reading these reviews and want to take the hiv test. I would recommend this product to everyone. I am like many that have written a review. I searched the internet diagnosing myself for years. I have gotten an hiv test yearly before and still was not satisfied with my negative result often still worrying myself and my family to death. I would get anxious just hearing hiv on the news. It got to the point that I couldn't think without worrying that I may have hiv. I look at the news and see people that only have had sex only once and have contracted hiv, then automatically I have thought that could be me. The mind is a tricky thing. Save yourself the worry and take the test. FEAR stands for false evidence appearing real. The test is very easy to take. I got my results in one day. I just wanted to take the time to write a review to all those people looking to purchase this test. I would recommend this test, not because my test was negative, but because it is essential to life. I believe that it is essential to know ones status. I have taken a yearly HIV test before, not because I was premiscuous but because it was recommended by health care providers. I have worried year upon year not believing the test results that I have received. I have watched the news and have wondered why did a person get it that only have had sex one time, and thought that could be me. I just knew I was positive, even though I made sure all my previous partners were tested. I convinced myself they were lying, especially after looking up symptoms(don't do!!). I literally was obsessed with the thought of being hiv positve. I looked up premium rates for hiv infected people and was even looking at hiv dating sites to see what my options were. I thought my bf would leave me and I drove him crazy talking about this. I finally couldn't take the worring and crying and longer and went to Walgreens Sunday night at 3am. It was really easy to use and I put it in the fedex drop box and had to wait for my results(felt like forever). I received my results today at 6pm and was so happy to hear I was hiv negative! Like many others on here, I had never been tested for HIV and have had some risky experiences in the past. For the past 4 or 5 years, I've looked HIV up on the internet periodically, but quit because I could always match up the symptoms with things I've had. I know it's ridiculous to self-diagnose using the internet, but I would get myself really worried, but was too scared and embarrassed to get tested (I'm from a very small town, so I'd never do it around home). Finally, about a week ago, I found this on the Walgreens site. I ordered it immediately, had it within 4 days, took the test this past Wednesday (which was very simple to use), and had my results last night (Thursday night). It's a little bit pricey, but comes in discreet packaging, which I appreciated since I live with 3 roommates. The test is easy to take with good directions. The hardest part was finding a FedEx drop off, but after asking around, I found one. All I can say is GET TESTED. I was sooo relieved to be negative! I just want to agree with all the reviews. I had unprotected sex about 5 weeks ago and started about a week ago getting sick. I got swollen glands and my doctor said it was a viral infection although I got scared because one of the symptoms associated with HIV is swollen glands. I googled too much online and got nervous I couldn't wait two weeks for results from my doctor so I purchased this in the store at the pharmacy and took it that day and mailed it. It didn't hurt and was very easy to do. I got my results just now at 7:45 eastern time with a negative result! If you are worried and read to much online that made you nervous take the test it will relieve alot of stress. The results were automated and he tells you very quickly with a result. Reading through all the reviews definitely gave me the courage to buy this test. About 8 months ago I had some encounters that were to be best described as not with "angels". I was experiencing some symptoms of what I thought "might" be HIV but I couldn't muster up the courage to go take a test to find out. I finally decided it was time to find out now. Like a lot of those that have posted here, I too have done some things that have recently caused me to be more concerned about my status. I must say I read each review and they gave me the courage to get tested. Thanks for all that have posted. I decided Wednesday night to get the test kit. I walked into the local Walgreens and went straight to the pharmacy. No one was around. I paid in cash so as to not have record of my purchase. The process is very straight forward and takes just a few minutes, minus the drying time; the directions are very easy to follow. I took it to Fed Ex the next morning. Like others have said, my results were not ready until about 7:45 EST / 6:45 Central the next day. Negative. I write that here not to brag but it is such a relief. Like others have said here, it is such a relief to know. I had almost worried myself sick the past few months. The test is expensive but well worth the piece of mind. I think it is the best and maybe only way to get tested totally anonymous.

Like MANY of you I was absolutely terrified in getting tested. I went one year thinking the worst, and wanted to avoid anything discussing or dealing with the topics of HIV/AIDS. If you even the slightest notion that you could of got HIV defintely put your ease at rest and buy this product!! I had unprotected sex with a girl and had a wierd feeling I had HIV roughly a month later. I never got sick but my conscious told me I got it for whatever reason and it got soo bad for me I had a bad anxiety disorder over worrying if I had HIV. I had muscle tension in my hands and thought for sure that was a sign for HIV. I went into Walgreens one night and bought this product. I didnt care what anyone thought of me at that store because I had to do it and once the test came back positive I could start treatment right away since catching it right away gives you the best shot at slowing it down. I took the test Tuesday night and called Thursday evening and found out it was negative!! I couldnt believe it and called again and got the same result. The product was so easy to use the directions it comes with are excellent and easy to read. I have done some things i wish i would have never tried in the past and after my first encounter with unprotected sex i was paranoid for 6 months especially when i had some of the symptoms and had a series of headaches i thought for sure i had the virus. This product was really and truly great. It is not a wonderful feeling wondering if you have an STD period, and especially HIV. I had it in my mind that I was positive because of rumors of a guy that I had been with had it. This test is incredibly easy to use - a little poke on the finger (and I HATE finger sticks at the doctor - this wasn't nearly as bad) and a few drops of blood. If you're reading this, than you probably think you may have come into contact with HIV. I had sex with someone unprotected (the condom broke) and he went inside of me... and failed to mention that he KNEW his boyfriend was HIV+. I had all of the symptoms once i over-analyzed everything, and realized the severity of my situation. after procrastinating for a week in which i didn't sleep, barely ate, and was actually really sick (i had swollen glands which made me even more worrisome) i decided to go buy this. i've been feeling sluggish and weak for a long period of time.

i was on vacation when i realized i feel so week. and i called my new boyfriend and found out that he is too feeling the same way. this made me think that i have HIV. and that i had him infected. i had a boyfriend before him that i later found out that he sleeps around with alot of women. and that made me scared to death. making me think that i have hiv.

If you are on here reading these reviews, I can tell you that it is best to just go out and purchase this! For the past week or so I have for some reason gotten it in my head that I was HIV+ after a few risky things I've done in my pass (mainly while drunk). I picked this up at Walgreens on Monday, mailed it out at 6pm Monday, and got my results at 745 eastern time Tuesday. I can't tell you how nervous I was before hearing the results, but that negative result felt like the world was lifted off my shoulders. I feel like I have a second chance again and will never put myself in such a situation. I can tell you that I spent lots of time researching HIV on the internet and had practically self-diagnosed me. Don't do this to yourself, go out, and get this test. It is super easy and although it is a bit pricey, knowing you are truly HIV- is an amazing feeling!

I bought this at Walgreens at 6pm, came home, followed the easy instructions, dropped it off in a Fed Ex drop off box at 7:30pm that night and had my test results by 8:00 pm the next night (bascially within 24 hrs)!!!! And its the ONLY home test thats FDA approved. Reading the reviews it what convinced me to make this purchase so I wanted to share my thoughts as well. I made this purchase at the pharmacy counter at a local walgreens. The attendant was helpful without being judgmental which made me feel at ease right away. The finger stick was the worst part (besides the waiting of course). It took almost 10 minutes for me to do that portion. After that it was smooth sailing and very easy to follow the instructions. And the stick wasn't as bad as I psyched myself up for!
I would suggest telling a friend so that you don't go through the process alone. Someone that can help distract you while you wait is good. The price is well worth knowing your status. However...a package of condoms is much cheaper!!! Safety is my new middle name!

This product makes it a simple test to take at home. Sometimes reading on the imternet can make you seem like you have symptoms of certain diseases, illnesses, ect. I was really, really scared to buy this test, but i felt i needed to since i have NEVER been tested and i want to start a family. I have slept with enough people and most the time without a protection, (being young and dumb), I thought for sure it was going to be positive. I convinced myself that i was going to be ok even if it did come back positive, because the medicine they have now for hiv lets people live a much better life than 10 years ago. It took me about a week after I received the test in the mail to actually take it and send it out (being scared). The lancet (finger pric) was easy to use, i was scared at first but you really can't feel it. My only mistake was that I sent it in on a Friday so i had to wait till Monday to get the results so i wouldn't suggest doing it like that. I got my negative result at 7:45 EST or 6:45 CST and I was so EXCITED... PLEASE order this, it has lifted a huge weight off my sholders!!!!

I bought the product on Monday night. On Tuesday noon (during the President Obama inaguration) called to register and then took the test. I then mailed it in. On Thursday at 10 AM I got the results.

Questionaire over touch-tone phone was easy and confidential - no need to "confess" to a human. (That part will come in my 12-step program (:>))

Test was not too difficult. The lancet was easy to use - press down and only feel a tiny stick. The only problem is that it makes such a small hole is that I had to spend time (several minutes) massaging my finger to get enough blood to soak the circle. I used both lancets.

The mailing was straight forward.

Got the results in less than two days.

In a small town like this one, it saved me the risk of going to a doctors or health department where I could easily run into a health professional I know. I'm willing to do that but am happy to avoid it.

If I continue to work my 12-step program, I hope this is the last HIV test I will have to worry over.

I wanted to know my HIV status. It was three months after doing some things I shouldn't have and I didn't want to pay upwards of $300 to go to a doctor. I knew about the OTC drug test that Walgreens has and I wondered if they also had an HIV test that was OTC as well. It turns out that they did, so I went to my local store and purchased a kit. However, when I got it home and registered the number, it wasn't in the system. I tried repeadtedly each time making sure I typed it in correctly.
It turns out that the kit I bought had expired!! I took it back to the store and it turns out that every one of the kits they had also had expired. They gave me my $$ back and called another store to see if they had any that had not expired. The other store did, so I went there and got the test kit. This time I registered the number and it worked!!
The instructions were easy to follow, but the biggest problem was finding a shipping drop point; I rode all over the place and finally found one. It would have been nice to know where to go beforehand. The small hassle was worth it as I know that I'm negative and can breathe easy.

I am SO glad that Walgreens has this product online! It was the only place I could order it from that just had a "Walgreens" shipping label, and nothing suspicious like "Health Testing at Home," or anything else that would get people's attention! Living in a small town with family, I was ever so grateful to have an anonymous way to get tested.

This is a godsend! I was afraid to get tested at my doctor's office because my insurance rates might go up, and people might find out. I couldn't drive to a planned parenthood or other free clinic without my family knowing, so this was the only option. This kit was so easy to use. The lancelet just felt like a light pinprick, since I poked the side of the pad of my left ring finger. I got my result at 7 PM the day after I mailed the sample.

Thank God I tested negative. I will never, have unprotected sex, now that I've gone through this kind of anxiety!! It's just not worth it!

This was my first HIV test.. Im 26 years old and have never taken a test before.. Mostly because I was scared[*]that I would come back positive and I didn't think I could hearing the news that I was poz.. I was so nervous about it that I would flip the channel when I would see commericals about getting tested.. Mostly because a year or so ago, I started to have the mono like symptoms that made me suspicious. This was easier than I imagined.. the instructions are easy to follow and the results were fast.. The worst part is waiting 24-28 hours to call in and get your results.. I'm new to my city and went through this process alone.. My only recommendation is to have a support network around you, or a good distraction available during the waiting..I've never felt so releived as I did when I got a negative result back.. I've taken some risks in the past and done some things I'm not proud of.. never again. I'm negative now, and plan on doing everything I can to stay that wayThe only bad part of the process that I didn't like was having to deal with the crazy pharmacist at my local store.. To be perfectly clear, I did NOT use the Home Access test when I got tested for HIV and I sure wish I would have. To heck with embarrassment about asking for it at the pharmacy counter, my life is more important! Call ahead & pick it up in the drive-thru if you have to, just get the test!!!!

I went to my doctor's office and let me tell you, it was no picnic waiting sooooo long for results! My mind was a wreck, I couldn't concentrate at work or anywhere else for that matter, for worrying about the "what if" worst case scenario. If I was thinking then, I would've purchased this test and had my results back a heck of a lot sooner so I could get on with my life and not be worried the entire time of my possible impending doom!

The wait for the doctor results was excruciating, almost 2 weeks! 24 hours for anonymous test results versus 2 weeks waiting on an over-priced doctor's visit results is a no-brainer in my opinion. I certainly would have bought the test!

After I broke up with my ex for cheating, I got tested for EVERYTHING because I was concerned I had contracted something due to his unfaithfulness. Thank goodness I am HIV-negative. It doesn't excuse the fact that other things can and will happen, such as contracting other STIs that may or may not be curable or pregnancy. So please take care of yourself and think of your health and overall well-being because you can't be for certain that your partner will. I can't say enough about this home test. How can you put a price tag on peace of mind and near instant results. Easy to use, very discrete, and reasonably priced. I mailed my sample at 1:15pm on Tuesday and had my NEGATIVE result at 5:50pm(MNT) the following day. Please take my advice, speaking as someone who just went through what you are experiencing. This test was great!! It is definitely worth it, however it is not completely anonymous. You have to ask for it at the pharmacy counter if you plan on buying it in the store. It wasn't bad buying or taking the test, the worse part like everyone says is waiting and calling.I did like everyone else read all the stuff online and that definately gave me awake up call but it was way to late for that. the only thing i didnt like was having to buy this in public. i went right when the store opened so no one would see me. i didnt want to order it online because i know all of the local ups drivers & was afraid they may open to see what it was before they delivered it. small town, nosey people! all you do is put a few drops of blood on a small paper with your finger, wait 30 minutes for it to dry, put your sample in a package provided, drop the sample off to a fed ex drop off box where no one knows what it is, and the next day you get your results over the phone through an automated machine. i dropped mine off at the fed ex box around 9am on a thursday & got my results friday night around 7:30. i was so nervous about having an hiv test done and knowing some places make you wait two weeks i went and bought this. i was sick to my stomach all day waiting on my results , i couldnt imagine waiting two weeks. do yourself a favor and buy this for peace of mind. oh, by the way...mine was NEGATIVE!! and after you get your results, don't ever do what you did in the past to make you have to take this test again. learn from your past! i know i have.

Extremely well written and detail instructions. Fast results. Results are released at 6:45pm central time. Don't waste time to call earlier. I dropped the package at a FedEx collection box in the morning. It was delivered at 8:30am the next day (remember to write down the fedex tracking number). Results were available the same day the lab received the sample. I had no problems with drawing enough blood to fill the circle. Make sure you puncture your finger slightly on the side, where the skin is softer. It took me a while to perform the procedure, but it was because of nerves and not fear of pain. With this test, you can buy it anytime (since Walgreen's is open 24 hrs) and send it out the next or same day. For years I hemmed and hawed over what my HIV status was. I was pretty sure that I didn't have it, but I had a nagging feeling that I should check anyway. Luckily for me the test was negative!

The test itself really isn't that hard to do. There are alot of instructions, so make sure that you read them all carefully. I bought the test at my local Walgreen's. The pharmacy tech who sold it to me was very considerate...he completed my transaction very quickly and even double bagged my test so that no one would see it when I walked out of the store.

I sent in test on a Wednesday night and got my results back on Thursday night. I couldn't believe it was that fast.

The bottom line is that I wish I would have just done this years ago. I was too scared to find out and really I had nothing to worry about all those years! Everyone should know their status. If you're negative, you can live knowing that you're okay and if you're positive you can take the necessary steps in keeping yourself healthy. After hearing so much about HIV and AIDs all over the media, I was finally scared enough that I thought I should get tested. I was too terrified to face my doctor, and there is no anonymous testing in my state, so I looked to the Internet.
