My doctor gave me a sample of this product after I'd been suffering from nausea, bloating, and stomach pain/cramping for several weeks. I was miserable and could barely function. I couldn't eat dairy without getting very ill and was very tired. I started taking Align, not expecting much, and within a week, I was starting to gradually feel better. I have had IBS for several years, then about a year ago I began to get abdominal pain. After a normal ultrasound, the doctor said I had dyspepsia. The hype won out over the cautionaries I'd read in the Specific Carbohydrate Diet against taking any probiotics with bifida in them (that's the only bacteria comprising this one). Like 9-10 other brands it made me (and my stomach) feel worse rather than better.

I take align every day. I would recommend this product to anyone who has mild to severe digestive problems. I was diagnosed with IBS with severe diarrhea when I was 4. I've used other probiotics that are more expensive and my gastroenterologist suggested this one because of unexplained bloating, reflux, nausea and continued problems with diarreha as I have Crohns and ALL tests come back normal and no other treatments have worked.
