Not quite what I had hoped for

Just was prescribed contacts for the first time. When I got my trial pair at the optometrist they were called softmed. They told me some places call them Avaira. After almost 2 weeks of my Avaira pair I feel the following:

My eyes are super dry and it feels like they rub my eyelid as I blink.

I wear eye makeup and it often gets stuck to the lenses and is super hard to rub off when cleaning them.

They tend to come loose and it takes a couple blinks to get them reseated.

I don't know if these are just issues with this brand or common to all contacts. I bought a 6 month supply and plan on visiting my doc when I am out to see about a new prescription.

I thought that getting contacts through Walgreens was going to be difficult. Wrong. Way wrong. Easier then ever. Filled everything out and received the contacts in 3-4 days. Quick, fast easy. Cheapest in town too! Just proves to me the crazy markup that are at the dr's offices.

Pros: less dry eye, good even at the end of 2 weeks, Price

Cons: no "123" like accuvue

After using Accuvue 2 for many, many years and having dry eyes a lot, my eye Dr. suggested I try these for more oxygen to the eyes. (I had tried Accuvue Oasys twice, but they got gunky after a few days.) My eyes feel less dry! They feel great - even in the evenings and towards the end of the two weeks. The only thing I miss is the "123" on the Accuvues, which made sure they weren't inside out, but it's no big deal to figure it out.
