My dog has barking issues so I bought this hearing all the hype on tv but it didn't work....at all. I am pretty sure my dog is laughing at me now because it got me to shut up but not him. I could hear the high pitched squeal of that thing every time I talked.

One won't work, but 6 banked together does. When the batteries get weak, they won't work. But they seem to be weather resistant, that is the mist, dew and rain aren't rusting them out. My neighbor has a visious little barker. The police couldn't force them to stop the barking, but a line of 6 Bark-Offs have for several months. Very expensive solution, but worth it. Dog has free run year round and we've got to sleep.

For the price this worked on my dog. But don't leave it in reach because he ate it.

This product is touted as a solution to barking dogs. The premise is the dog barks, hears a ultrasonic whistle, and stops barking with reinforcement from owner--I am not sure how this works with neighbor dogs as this product promises to control those dogs, also. I am not completely sure that the product did not make a sound as it was 'ultrasonic' and 'audible only to dogs', did it even make a sound? On all counts the verdict comes down to there was no difference in my dogs barking with or without this product.

This product works wonderful! I have two dogs and the noise appears to be similair to a bee/fly, as when first pressed the dogs reacted the same way as if a fly was buzzing around them.
After several times, they just see the device and are quiet!

I bought this gizmo, to stop the neighbor's dog from barking as it ran along the walk, past my apartment to go outside. The dog starts barking as soon as it's feet no longer are on carpet until it reaches any kind of grass. Since the neighbor has odd work hours and likes to stay out late on the weekends the constant barking is really annoying. I have loaded 3 different kinds of new 9 volt batteries in this thing, and the indicator light has not come "on" once. I don't think it works. I have it next to the front door; no ON light and the neighbor's dog is still barking.
