• Bring 2 cups water and 1/4 tsp. salt (optional) to a boil
• Add 1 cup of rolled oats
• Reduce heat
• Cook for 10 to 20 minutes (time depending on the consistency that you like your cereal) stirring occasionally
• Cover, remove from heat and let stand a few minutes
• Serve with honey and milk and a big smile

• In large bowl, combine 1/2 cup rolled oats and 1 cup water
• Cover and microwave on high for 3 to 5 minutes
• Let stand for 2 minutes
