Works well, but strong smell

Pros: keeps hands moisturized, A lot of product

Cons: smells strongly like vicks vapor rub

I'm shocked that I'm actually one of those people who has to say "I don't know what everyone else is talking about", but I am! I got this hand salve about a month ago, when my hands were super dry from the cold, and this really helped a lot... but after I took it out and applied some in class and my neighbor said "what is that? it smells like vicks vapor rub", I realized that it was a little too strong of a smell. I still like this product a lot and still use it at home, but the smell is so strong and smells too medicinal for me to use it elsewhere. I'm going to explore other burt's bees options!

This is my winter must give gift to friends, family, teachers and coworkers. It is great at healing those dry wintery hands without leaving a greasy film. The smell is somewhat medicinal but that does not bother me at all. It is really a great value.

Smelled a bit like kerosene, but it works! Gave a tin to my brother who is an outdoorsman. He really liked it's healing effects, but also noticed the aroma. He can't use it while he's hunting, but in the garden or fishing..it's a winner!

Pros: the lavendar seems okay in this product.

Cons: i am allergic to lavendar.

I have psoriasis on the palms, wrists (and sometimes fingers) of both hands, but am a voracious knitter and crocheter. This balm, along with my prescription cream, really helps to keep my hands supple so that the yarn is not constantly snagging on my hands. This product does, however, contain many botanical oils. Beware of allergies.
