so I originally went to Walgreens looking for the Shea Moisture Curl Enhancing Smoothie, but they didn't have them so I began looking for an alternative and I stumbled upon this and after reviewing the label I decided to give it a try. I'm so glad I did. I have thick/kinky/coily type 4 hair and have trouble retaining moisture. This product does wonders for moisture retention with my hair and my coils and twists look great. This is a new staple for me. I have found a cream that truly works with my thick natural hair.

Another Cantu product I love! I have kinky hair and I've been in search of a heavier cream that keeps my hair moisturized and has my kinks poppin and shiny.. this product does that and more. Love love love it! Another staple for me!

So I did a little experiment last night. I used this on two different sections of my hair. After co-washing my hair, I put in the Cantu leave in conditioner on both sections and then styled one section using this curl cream. One section I did a twist out using this product and the other side I just made ringlet curls using my fingers with the cream. Today when I took my hair out of my scarf, the side I made ringlets with was ok as far as curl definition and shine. But the side I did a twist out on looked fabulous! The twist outs had luster, and they felt soft and moisturized too!
The product had slip to it and went on way better than using a gel for me. I love how the ingredients list isn't full of junk too. So I think I will be keeping it for when I do twist outs and things like that. For the amount of product you get, the quality and the price, it's a keeper.

I have been using the product for a few months and I really like the results of my hair. My hair is soft, shea butter for natural hair curling cream gives my hair extra curl and shine.

I really like this product. Cantu's natural hair line has been the only line to work for my hair continuously since I BC'd. I love using this product now that I have enough length for twistouts and such. It defines my curls and leaves my hair VERY soft. My day 4 hair still looks like day 1 :) The only thing it does lack is "shine".

My hair is tightly coiled and can be very dry. Unlike gels used to define curls, there was no hardening of my hair. It was soft, moisturized, and not sticky. The only disappointing thing was that the product doesn't provide the luster and shine that I am seeking. Fantastic product though to define curls and moisturize.
