I bought this hoping to dye my hair blond at the ends. I read a couple reviews saying this product doesn't work that great but i completely disagree. I have dark brown hair and have been searching for a hair dye that wouldn't turn my hair orange... but this dye is pacifically for that !!! I put a lot of the dye on my hair and left in on for about a hour(rubbing your hair while the dye is in helps it get lighter)and washed the dye out..let my hair dry and it was very blonde! I would recommend this product to any dark who person who wants blonde hair,for a great price.

My hair was already colored dark auburn from the salon about 3 months ago, and this product made my roots the gorgeous blonde I was after, but the colored lengths of my hair are neon orange. I kind of like the funky look but I am sure some people would not so be careful if you have salon colored hair.

So I did my dark brown almost black hair yesterday. I read the directions many times and kept seeing the pre-lighting instructions... I am almost 38 and have been doing my own hair color since I was 16. I left the color on my hair for 75 min. The color was less than even, with my roots pulling to a beautiful blonde and the rest of my head golden retriever orange. I'm not displeased. This product did what no other product (outside of bleaching and stripping) can do. I can't wait to do it again in 2 weeks to get my final color; which I am certain I will get.
You can't expect salon results in one application without the bleaching or stripping. I will be using this product for the foreseeable future for touch ups.

I had extremely deep brown/red hair, that would not go away at all. I had tried coloring it different times and it just wouldn't grab anything because of all the red my hair had (reminded me of when I used to color my hair blue black) in other words I just could not apply any color unless I would bleach. Well this took off the color EVENLY.. very nice, left it to orange but what do you expect with red hair, and after all it is a bleach. But I must say I love this product, it leaves your hair even, smooth, and does not damage it that much, way better than the bleach kits from Sally's. I would recommend to people that want to bleach their hair without damaging it that much. Gets rid of the black, red, or brown.

This product works great ONLY if you follow the directions carefully. The box is false advertising its product, promising blonde in "one" step; however, you would need to use the foil technique and buy a toner and a blonde shade haircolor dye to achieve the result. Use with caution. If you want that blonde, I'd recommend getting it done professionally if you don't know what you're doing. Again, this product WILL NOT make your hair blonde in "one" step.

I have attempted dyeing my hair from black to blonde many times. Usually with the professional grade bleach I usually have to bleach about 3 or 4 times and its still very brassy. This worked great. I did have to dye one more time so I wouldn't look as yellow but if your looking to lighten your color I recommend this product.
