I love the product and the the color. It is a pretty brown. Not black. I have shoulder length hair and about 50% grey. I use it about every 5-6 weeks. I do the ROOTS ONLY for about 35 minutes and I save a little. Then I work in the remaining through out my whole head for a total of 45 minutes processing time on my hair. I step into the shower and put a little shampoo in my hand, get wet and gently start washing my hair and mixing it all around. Rinse. Conditioner. Then I use an old towel to dry with so that a little bit of color, if any, wont stain a new towel. I've been using it since it came out. It looks great! I have had trouble finding it lately. I'm a little worried if I can't get it.

I can no longer find this his color locally, so I tried all different kinds and no other colors difficult gray like Gray Solution.

Another reviewer said that the product (light brown) was too dark --- "jet black on brown hair with 20% gray." I cannot disagree more, but then I have VERY stubborn gray hair. Have had it since I was in my 20's. Now in my early 60's I am about 97% gray and this product is the ONLY thing that covers it. I also leave it on way longer than directions say --- 45 minutes. Unfortunately, finding Gray Coverage at all is difficult. Finding it in light brown is near impossible sometimes. I always purchase two at a a time.

This shade has no right to be called Light Brown cuz it came out jet black after 15 mins on my dark brown hair with 20% resistant greys. I knew ahead of time this formula comes out darker but this was a schock. It does cover greys in under 20 mins and is easy to use and gentle on the hair. I had used Medium Blonde before and came out a soft-med brown but it is no longer sold in my city. They added a shade Dark Blonde #7 which i will try next. Buyer beware; this formula comes out 2-3 shades darker than described. If the new shade comes out too dark i will try Balsam instead.
