I've used this product successfully for ages, but 6 months ago I bought a tube and found that it was runny instead of like a gel, which made it impossible to apply to one spot. Strange, since it's a spot treatment.
I'm hoping the quality control has improved, so I'm going to buy it again, because it really did work like a charm when I dabbed a little bit right on a pimple.
It doesn't eliminate really big acne cysts, but it does reduce the redness and inflammation. And it is a *spot* treatment for individual breakouts, use a different product all over your face.

I've heard many reviews about the spot treatment a lot was good and since my benzoyl peroxide treatment from neutrogena wasn't working I decided to try this instead. And after a couple of days of using it on one-half of my face. (the other half i was comparing it to burt's bees acne solution) a couple blemishes popped up. And i decided which product won. This didn't work for my combination/dry skin.
Although, it did have a nice smell that's one poisitve thing I can tell you. I guess my skin reacts better with organic products.

I first bought this product when I was a freshman in college (4 years ago). It worked great then. I would put it directly on the pimple or dark spots, let it dry, and then it would peel off the next day and WahLa!! The pimple and/or dark spots were gone. I loved it. However, the older I got, the worse my acne got. I started to breakout every week. I still use this product, but it definitely is taking a while to achieve the results I saw four years ago. I wouldn't recommend this product for severe acne, but I would for the occasional bumps. Also, a little secret, for those of you who have large acne or swollen bumps, if you soak a cloth in hot water, wring it out, and hold it to the inflamed area it will dramatically reduce the size of your pimple/bumps. I have mild to severe acne, and I used proactive for 6 months and it didn't work for me at all. I did this little trick for three days coupled with my new cleansing regimen (which includes this product) and I have faster/better results than when using proactiv. Hope this helps!!

I've seen quite a few reviews on here of people that have said this doesn't work and i've noticed most of them are using it incorrectly. I have bought this several times over the years, and it's a great product! it may not clear a pimple in one night, like it says, but certainly in a few nights.. and there is improvement usually after the first night. It is a SPOT treatment.. it's not meant to be put on your entire face to get rid of all of your acne in one night! i've also noticed people with moderate to severe acne haven't had much luck with this.. sorry to tell you, but this product is designed for when a pimple or a few pimples pop up on generally healthy skin and you put it on the SPOT that has the pimple you want to treat. hence SPOT TREATMENT! Also- don't rub it in! it works sooo much better if you don't rub it in and let it dry just like that. Put it DIRECTLY on the pimple you are wanting to treat, do.not.rub.it.in. It's meant to be used after you wash your face and along with your skin regimen, preferably at night or throughout the day when you aren't wearing makeup and running around sweating or going out in the sun. Don't even try wearing this under foundation or powder!! It WILL show and look really gross and crusty- worse than the pimple! So just remember that, too. It also has a slight burn when you first put it on, but that's how i know it's working quickly to dry the pimple out!
I had mild to moderate acne as an early teen and i'm 20 now and my skin occasionally still breaks out, and this is the first thing i run to if i want to dry that pimple out FAST! it's not meant to be used every day/night for a long period of time, that's not the concept of a spot treatment, either.
Also remember there are allll different types of acne and tons of different types of skin. Some acne just can't be topically treated, which is unfortunate. so don't think this little tube can cure all of your acne problems. it's meant to be used on the occasional breakout that you need to get rid of quickly, hence why the tube is so small. I have tried so many useless products and i can honestly say that this one DOES deliver if used correctly and on occasional breakouts. it can also work on your skin if your acne is bad, but like i said... it's not meant to clear ALL of your skin at one time and in 1 or 2 days.. you all should know by now that chronic acne is not that simple! it's not a guaranteed miracle worker, but it sure helps and you should at least see some difference after using it for a few days!!
ALSO- i thought this product didn't work either when i first got it.. but then i put it on and didn't rub it in and i was amazed at how well it actually worked!!!

I started using this when my 2 friends recommended this for my acne. They said it was effective, however, this did not work for me. Their skin is about 90-95% clear, with the occasional pimples (mild acne). I, on the other hand, had moderate acne and I broke out every week. I finished the whole tube in several months and did not see any improvement. So not recommended for people that have moderate acne! only for people with the occasional bumps! Also one pro is that there is almost no drying.
