This heat pad has only one temperature setting; I assumed there was at least a high and low option. Also there is no automatic shut off after a set amount of time. Lesson learned: unless the text specifically states certain features you are wanting, they likely aren't offered.

wow i can not believe that walgreens would sell a pad that has only a very low heat setting not any high,med,low!!! I order 3 heating pads a year an do not want the auto shut off or only one setting, this was very bad and should be at the pet stores for the use w/animals ....Just saying :)

It was great to find a heating pad with a manual on-off switch. We need these for our animal rescue group when working with bottle babies. We can't have the heating pad turn off after two hours; the babies need continuous low heat to keep their body temperature up.

I have had a heating pad like this one for many years...and It is an excellent way to use heat to heal. The steam heat or wet heat is best for injuries.
