I can use the Contour Back Max anywhere...on the bed, on the couch and on the floor. For the first time in years, I can now sleep in a bed once again and wake up with ZERO back pain.
If the Back Max is a little uncomfortable at first, just give your back a little time to get comfortable with your new sleeping position. Once my back got comfortable sleeping in the 120 degree position, all my lower back pain went away.
I wish I would have found this product years ago. My wife is so happy to have me back in our bed again!
Even though the zipper feature is nice, the Back Max works just as well for me, even if I don't use the zipper...which is pretty much all the time now...and makes set even faster!
The only drawbacks I can see is that it might be a little narrow for some people.

I dont think I could have survived as well after my L5-S1 back surgery without it. It has been a virtual life safer. I have it on the spare couch in the living room and have laid in it virtually 6 hrs a day for the last 6 weeks.

I received the Backmax a week ago. I suffer from GERD and arthiritis of the spine. I am happy to say that it has worked wonders. I do suggest that it be a little wider and longer, otherwise is great.

the product was not useful. I returned it the next day. zippers not good, to hard of foam, headrest to high and it didn't fit our bodies in a comfortable way. would not recoment it to anyone.

This is a very good product. The only thing I think they need to make the width larger.
