PEACE OF MIND TESTING
"Peace of Mind Testing" is exactly that: testing done to confirm what is already assumed to be either true or false.
Everyone's DNA contains long segments of apparently unused (non-coding) genetic material*. Some of these areas are comprised of identically repeating code which:
Exhibit great variation between individuals; Are evenly passed from parents to child; and Are subject to little change. Our procedure utilizes this unused genetic material to confirm whether there is a match or mismatch between the child and parents.
Briefly, these unused DNA sections of the child and one parent (Fatherhood or Motherhood Kit) or both parents (Parenthood Kit) are isolated, reproduced and identified in the laboratory. The identified sections are then compared with each other. If the child's DNA sections directly match as a 50/50 composite of the parent’ s genetic material, then the assumption of fatherhood, motherhood or parenthood is confirmed. However, if there is a mismatch, then one can only conclude that the assumption of fatherhood, motherhood or parenthood is not confirmed. Then you will be advised to seek legal testing.
Our results though accurate, cannot be used for legal purposes because there is no:
Validated documentation of the individual tested; and Documentation of the chain of custody from the sample collection to sample analysis. Test results are only useful if the samples are taken from the appropriate individuals.
*Since non-coding DNA material is utilized for testing, no relevant genetic information will be obtained about the tested individual.

To ensure that your sample will be safely obtained, please follow these simple instructions: Rinse mouth with water. Do not use mouthwash or toothpaste. Refrain from drinking coffee/tea or soft drinks, or using tobacco products for at least 30 minutes before sampling. For the child, remove one Yellow colored cotton tip applicator from the protective packaging. Holding the handle of the colored cotton tip applicator, place the tip in the mouth and rub the inside of the cheek for 30 seconds. Run the tip along the gum-line and fold of the cheek and under the tongue, soaking up as much saliva as possible. Allow the tip to dry for at least 1/2 hour at room temperature. Repeat steps 1-3 with the second Yellow colored cotton tip applicator. When both tips are dry, place them in the small white envelope labeled child, seal and label with child’ s name. Repeat steps 1-5 for the parent (Fatherhood - Blue colored cotton tip applicator or Motherhood - Pink colored cotton tip applicator) or for both parents (Parenthood Kit). Complete the personal information form and enclose it with additional payment (of $99.00 for Fatherhood or Motherhood Kit or $149.00 for Parenthood Kit) into the self-addressed envelope, apply postage and mail. If you need confirmation of delivery, please write your name and address on the enclosed return postcard. Enclose it with your samples.
