I was hesitant to get this because determining if you're ovulating is subjective to what you see and interpret the pattern, but after seeing how significant the pattern was during ovulation I am convinced this is worth the money. It's reusable which is GREAT!
The only con I see is that the directions say to let the saliva dry for 5 minutes. I don't know how much saliva they were using but no drop of saliva will dry in 5 minutes. Make sure to use a good sized drop with no air bubbles. And do it first thing in the morning before eating or brushing teeth. Leave it to dry while you're getting ready, at least 30 minutes. Once it's obviously dry and there is no liquid left in that saliva then look at the test. The pattern will be much more distinct and less likely to slide off the lens.
Other than having to wait the 30 minutes, this is a great product. :)

I bought the Fertile Focus after reading Myra Savant-Harris' book on canine breeding management. She explained how to use it and what the ferning pattern means for planning breeding timing. Given that hormone testing at the reproductive veterinarian's can cost hundreds of dollars, this can save a small fortune. It is easy to use and easy to see the changes in the saliva patterns, even for someone like me who's half-blind without corrective lenses. Best breeding management investment ever.

Just got this scope at the beginning of my cycle and it is soooo interesting. I chart on Fertility Friend and am able to put data in for an opk saliva scope. I understand it could take me a cycle or two before I understand what "my" pattern. This is so non-invasive and easy to do...makes you feel special to see how your body ticks :)
