1. To use your Gopher™, unfold the extension arm into its fully opened position.
2. Lock your Gopher™ in this opened position by pushing in the hinge lock (the round button on the side of the hinge). To unlock, push the hinge lock in the opposite direction.
3. To reach for an object with the Gopher™, hold the grip handle and squeeze the trigger until the suction cups firmly grasp it. Carefully bring the grasped object into arm's reach to retrieve it with your other hand and release trigger or place the object wherever you'd like to leave it and release trigger after you set it down.
4. For additional control, after squeezing the trigger and firmly gripping an object with the suction cups, slide the trigger-locking mechanism to the left - this locks the suction cups in position, allowing you to let go of the trigger, for "hands free" gripping. To unlock the suction cups, squeeze the trigger and release. The suction cups will return to their fully opened position.
5. To fold the Gopher™ so you can store it away, push the hinge lock into the unlocked position, then lift the front part of the extension arm upwards towards the handle. If you do not unlock the hinge, you will be unable to fold the unit.
