While I've seen this in the hair care section of many drug stores and supermarkets, I've always passed it up, figuring it was a relic from my dad's generation. Finally, I decided to try it out. Man, was I surprised. I have thick, dry, hard-to-manage hair. Just a small dab gives me instant, non-greasy control. Way better than other pricey salon-brand pomades and waxes. Smells like deodorant (bit strong at first, but goes away). Easy to wash out, too. Overall, I would recommend, especially if you have thick hair. Hope they don't stop making it.

I'm 22 and ever since I became a fan of the TV show MadMen & their cool retro styles, I've been wearing the Don Draper slick hairstyle and Groom&Clean does an excellent job to get the look. It is so much better than gel cause it doesn't harden up and flake like gel does. My hair stays in place but also pliable that I can recomb it anytime and it still retains the neat slick wet look just like Don Drapper. I've tried other products, but I like Groom&Clean best - it goes on easy into slightly damp hair, and washes out easily. I've even found if I use it in combination with petrolatum based pomades, it helps wash that out easier too. The aroma is really nice - is is very subtle unlike some others that that over do it. I accidently discovered this stuff when looking for razors & shaving cream - most stores put it in the saving/deodorant area rather than the hair gel/pomade section, often next to Brylcreem. Now, I;ve used Brylcreem before too & it's ok, but I really do prefer Groom&Clean.

I am an elderly man with thin straight hair. When I get up in the morning it looks like I've been electrocuted. By using this produced after showering each day, I can just comb my hair out in the morning and it easy to control.
I can shampoo once a week since my hair stays clean with this. To avoid running out I order a long lasting supply from Walgreens.

Once you find the right amount to use for your hair you will find that it does not make your hair look greasy. Matter of fact it will make your hair look in control and healthy. I use approximately an inch squirt for my short hair.

Unlike gels, Groom & Clean won't flake or give you "helmet hair." Unlike grooming creams and pomades, it's not greasy and it washes out very easily. My favorite feature is that, depending on how much water you use, you can vary the amount of hold on various parts of your hair. Use more water and get the kind of hold you would from a hair tonic. Use much less or more water and you get a very strong hold.
