The uplifting and nourishing choice of health-minded individuals, yerba mate boasts 24 vitamins and minerals, 15 amino acids and abundant antioxidants. Yerba mate is also known for its adaptogen-like qualities, which include reducing the effects of occasional stress.
Of the six commonly used stimulants in the world, yerba mate, coffee, tea, kola nut, cocoa and guarana, yerba mate, with naturally occurring caffeine, triumphs as the most balanced, delivering both energy and nutrition.
Naturally Caffeinated-Contains the caffeine equivalent of 3/4 cup of coffee per serving.
Sustaining and Restoring the Rainforest
Sourced from the rainforest of the San Mateo region in Southern Brazil, this air-dried yerba mate is bright and lively. The smoke-free drying process yields an herbal flavor with a complex body and clean finish.
Yerba mate is a holly tree native to the Atlantic Rainforest of Brazil, Paraguay, and Argentina. To capture the whole plant energy of the yerba mate tree, Guayaki blends the whole leaf, tender stems, and leaf powder for a potent infusion with enduring flavor.
Market Driven Restoration
Guayaki's MARKET-DRIVEN-RESTORATION business model directly links our customer's purchases to our partner farming communities in the South American Atlantic Rainforests. Guayaki's partners sustainably harvest organic yerba mate from rainforest grown cultivations and reforestation projects, generating a renewable income stream which enables these communities to improve their lives and restore their lands.

Hot: Brew in a French press, or coffee/espresso maker for 3-10 minutes. We suggest using one tablespoon per cup of water. Adjust to your desired strength. Or, enjoy in a mate gourd. Never boil mate-first, moisten the mate with cold water to protect the nutrients and flavor, then add hot water. Do not drink mate above 150 degrees Fahrenheit. Latte: Brew a strong cup of mate, then add your favorite milk and sweetener to taste. Iced: Brew a hot mate, then add ice. To experience the full health benefits of yerba mate, we recommend drinking 2 cups daily. Store in a dry, air tight container or in this package, away from direct heat and light.
