My husband is having knee replacement surgery--with suggested chair post surgery a "hard" chair. Since he is quite slender, and elderly, his buttocks lack much padding. We bought this wheelchair cushion for his favorite rocking chair--and he loves it. Says it is supremely comfortable, and will fit the bill perfectly for his needs post surgery. Really cannot think of a criticism--for us the waterproof issue is not appropriate, for others it would be a consideration perhaps. We have, by the way, already RECOMMENDED this product to a friend!

This is a wonderful product if the person for whom you are caring IS NOT INCONTINENT. It provides very good support, better than any I've ever used, BUT IT IS NOT WATERPROOF, AND WHEN IT IS WASHED OR RINSED IT DISINTEGRATES. My mother's coccyx pain decreased so much that I am purchasing another and having it re-upholstered in THICK PLASTIC so that it will be waterproof. I hope the manufacturers will consider waterproofing this product!
