Follow directions carefully to avoid skin and scalp burns, hair breakage, or eye injury. Do not use if scalp is irritated or injured. Do not apply to scalp. Do not use on bleached hair or hair that has been permed with ammonium thioglycolate (curl perm) or ammonium bisulfite. Do not use on permanently colored hair or hair which is breaking, splitting, or otherwise damaged. If hair has been previously relaxed, apply only to new growth as described in the directions. If relaxer causes skin or scalp irritation, rinse out immediately, and wash with the shampoo in the kit. If irritation persists or if hair breakage occurs, consult a physician. Rated 5 out of 5 by GiGi BEST CHOICE EVER!!! I have used this relaxer for 7 years and there is absolutely nothing on the market that compares!!! Its cheap, quality, gentle to use weekly if needed, excellent perm, holds well, and DOESNT strip your hair! Recently, its hard to find in stores. So I am using Olive and quickly regretting...I need to Gentlt Treatment...best ever! December 1, 2012

Rated 1 out of 5 by sandy New formula 4 the WORSE I have used the original formula for years, fully satisfied, no other box perm came close, as showing above the lady with the tan top(original formula)------RECENTLY the formula changed, the lady with the purple top on, I used it with confidence, same caution as always, also Im taking biotin and multi vitamin, protein shampoos. The very hair that is strong and thick, no other perm broke, well this new formula broke my strong healthy hair. I thank God he revealed to me its not me its 100% the perm. I have the straight hair but still a bit of frizz..I tried this because I have hispani frizz ball unruly curly hair. I just wanted to see if this would work instead of going to a salon and paying an arm and a leg, So far I like the results! November 23, 2010

Rated 4 out of 5 by Angel It works I've used this perhaps 3-4 times. My hair has grown noticeably stronger and longer. It works ^_^. It does seem to burn more than other perms. I've learned to wash my hair again after using all the shampoo with color alert. I use my regular shampoo and keep rinsing until my scalp feels normal. This relaxer appears to leave your scalp sensitive. I've washed my hair for about 1/2-an-hour to completely get rid of all the chemicals. That's the only con. September 9, 2009

Rated 5 out of 5 by Grace Exceeded my expectations I am white with very frizzy curly hair and have lost all my patients blow drying and styling in the hotter weather. I could not get a comb through my hair. At the drugstore there was only ONE box of this on the shelf and all the other brands of hair straighteners were full on the shelves. I figured if everyone is buying it it must be good. It was easy to apply. There was a warning about not using on permanently colored hair (which I have)-but lived dangerously and I used it anyway. Followed the directions VERY carefully and couldn't be more pleased-I now love my hair(soft shiny and straight) and this product. The pink conditioner/styling liquid is great. I still blow dry my hair but only a little. Did I say I love my hair now? July 4, 2009
