This pad will not help aheavy person much it collapses down to a thin piece of foam when you sit on it so will not help prevent discomfort from sitting if it was a better grade of foam I would have loved it. Cover was good but not the cushion.

I bought 2 of these for my 84 year old mother, who is fairly active, but has some difficulty getting up from chairs. She uses one at her kitchen table, and the other for "travel".
Pros: lightweight, good height, removable cover, great price
Cons: none, except that my mother wishes it came in a "round" version, to fit smaller chairs (especially when she takes it along while playing cards or bingo)
Overall, this is a very functional cushion at a very good price.
