Bought this after extensive abdominal surgery-getting up and down was very painful. This product made a huge improvement . Easy to keep clean with toilet brush and disinfectant kept nearby. Cover not necessary really -Just keep it flushed.

This seat is terrific. It is very good quality plastic, very solid and is a very comfortable shape. My old seat was a donut-hole shape but this one is more open in the back and much easier to use and clean. (They will all get dirty).
The locking mechanism works well and the seat doesn't move around like the types that just sit loosely on the toilet.
Highly recommended.

Installation took 30 seconds after reading the brief and easy instructions. The fit on certain toilets will be better than others, and in my case it was quite good. The locking mechanism really does hold the seat firmly in place.
What could be wrong? There are a few minor design flaws (excuse the humor here, but I can't resist). The seat must have been designed by a man because there is no cover/lid. You will need to keep a disinfectant wipe nearby to wipe up splashes on the side, which are nearly unavoidable. Finally, you will need to remove the seat entirely once a week or so and clean it when you clean the toilet. The tendency for mold on the underside is very real.
Other than the few precautions above, this was well worth the money and is quite comfortable, which earned it 5 stars.
