Pros: unscented long lasting protection

Cons: stick breaks when it begins to dry out

This deodorant works great. I think it's better than the original once you let it dry before dressing. The big problem is that after a while the stick begins to dry out and breaks when there is still alot left. My solution to this seems to be to re-hydrate the stick by pouring a little running water on it every few weeks or so. So far so good!

I've been using Mitchum Smart Solid and it's predecessor Hydro-Solid since middle-school now and I have to say it's actually spoiled me to other deodorants. So last year when the store I used to buy it from stopped stocking it I tried Mitchum Advanced Control (the regular solid), but it could become slightly itchy and by the end of the day it was like I needed to apply more to cover up the smell, which was never a problem with Smart Solid. It also left uncomfortable little granules of deodorant visible on my armpit hairs. So then I tried Mitchum Power Gel, but all problems from the solid were exaggerated, and worse still it left stains on the pits of my work shirts, and after a few months they wouldn't wash out anymore! I decided to switch to a different brand altogether and settled on Right Guard Total Defense Five, but had a strong perfumey odor and also gave me B.O. by the end of the day.

Now I've found Smart Solid at Walgreens and I'm going to stick with it as long as they make it. If Walgreens stops stocking it too I'll just have to buy online, or wherever I can find it.

What have you done to the "real" Mitchum's solid

I have used the original Mitchum's solid for years. Am having a terrible time finding it. It did not need "improving". Please tell me where I can find the original.

I have been using Mitchum Unscented Solid for many years & totally agree with Roger's comments. Also comes out of the applicator when there is still quite a bit of product remaining.

Cons: Poor Texture, Bad feel - sticky

I have been using Mitchum Unscented Solid for many years. I got this "improved" Mitchum and was very disappointed in the "feel" of the solid. In use, it did not "slide" in my pits, like the old one, but was tacky, sticky, and thoroughly unpleasant. [...].I STRONGLY recommend the ORIGINAL MITCHUM SOLID.

Pros: Good Protection, Long-Lasting, Goes On Clear

Cons: Will discolor white T's

Great product - the added strength of the main ingredient really helps to keep me dry. It's long lasting, so I can go from office to date, without having to worry.

The only thing - like most of these products, is that it will discolor your t-shirts after a while - but, after that long you better buy some new ones anyways; women love a fresh, clean t-shirt - it says you take care of yourself.
