For Cold Therapy: Place Sealed Ice® Pack in freezer or refrigerator for 1 - 2 hours.

Remove Sealed ice® pack from freezer or refrigerator and place in boot liner to cradle heel area.
While sitting, place heel as far back on Sealed Ice® pack as possible.
Do not use for more than 20 minutes in one application period.

Reminder: Remove Sealed Ice® pack before sleeping.

Cons: Difficult To Use

Is far good for what you pay for, I like to add that is very difficult to sleep with it on and at some point painful too. The ice bag would not last more than 15 minutes so don't expect much inflammation relieve. I would suggest icing your feet before putting it on. I was only able to use it twice but had to stop due to joint and ankle pain during bed time. If you experience severe pain when walking or standing for 30 minutes or longer I recommend icing your feet at least three times a day, get your self some over the counter orthotics at Walgreens and do feet therapeutic exercises in daily basis to get some realistic relieve.
