Give your skin time to completely dry after bathing before applying this tape or it will not be a gentle tape to remove! After surgery I had many dressing changes due to slow healing. My skin is tender and I learned the hard way to not apply to damp skin.

This is excellent tape. Being paper, it is really easy to tear with one hand. I am allergic to normal adhesive tape but have no problem with this - I can wear it for days with no allergic reaction, whatsoever. Once it is on your skin, it's there until you take it off -- it does not loosen over time (on skin -- I have seen the edges curl a little bit where taped over something porous like a dressing but not on skin or when layered on itself). It will even continue to hold soaking wet (it is not waterproof however so, obviously, if it is holding a dressing over an open wound, if it gets wet it will need to be replaced). Even though it holds really well, it is easy to remove. Unless you need something which is waterproof, this is pretty much the perfect first-aid tape.

I had a to put medication on my heel. This tape was the only thing that stayed on. I was surprised when I read the other comments. (I had used the tape before reading - only happened to read comments as I was purchasing more.) I removed the tape slowly and had no problems. In fact the only time I had a problem was the glue-y mess on my heel from using regular tape which I had to remove with alcohol - ouch!!

This is horrible stuff. As other reviewers have said, it tears off my skin when I remove it.

This tape works great but it can rip/tear your skin. In fact it sticks a little too well. They used this tape in the Dr.s office to apply a dressing pad around my abdomen after surgery however they did not advise me when I went to remove the bandage to be careful as it ripped my skin. Not recommended for sensitive skin areas. The tape works well but you must be real careful when removing it. I would recommend applying rubbing alcohol (Careful not to get it in the wound) to help soften the adhesive. I thought it would be easier to remove if in the shower but that was a disaster as all it did was rip in sections & become a real mess.
