I have only used this product once since I got it. It was highly recommended by a co-work who has curly, frizzy hair like me. I followed it with a recommended protien conditioning treatment. I blow-dry and flat iron or curl iron my hair everyday, and this product left my hair feeling good. I also color my hair about every 5 weeks, and this is excellent to use prior to coloring.

LOVE this product. Best thing I've ever used on my hair. Makes it sleek and smooth. NO frizz or split ends. Amazed.

The product as SLIP!!!!! For any wavy, curly, coily or kinky woman, you know the importance of slip. Recently, my natural coils had lost a lot of it's structure. Instead of having pencil size spring curls after a wash and condish, I had a fro. After doing some research, I realized that my hair was over conditioned. I had never done a protein treatment before or after going natural. I had heard about Nexxus Emergencee, on blogs, vlogs and chat forums and decided to look into it. The product recieved very positive feedback across all hair types and after researching the ingredients in it, I decided to give it a try (I like to use as natural or as safe a product as possible and albeit, some ingredients aren't naturally occurring, they are safe). I cleansed my hair, sectioned it into several workable sections and then applied the Nexxus Emergencee liberally from root to tip. I could immediately tell that my coils were taking to the product very well and, like I said in the beginning, the product had slip. I was able to detangle easily while applying the product. I could also tell that the product was stopping the breakage I was beginning to experience because no hair came out in my hands while applying the product. Zero hairs! Because I was working in sections, the product was left on my hair for about 15-20 minutes. It does not hardened like the Aphogee 2-step treatment. I rinsed it out and then checked out my hair in the mirror and my coils were back in force, even the hair that had sustained heat damage from an impromptu flat iron session! You know when the sequel was better than the first movie; it was like that! I was so extactic. The product did not overly dry out my hair, but my hair was a little dry as if I had just cleansed it. I co-washed and then deep conditioned without heat (I wanted to make sure I retained the protein-moisture balance) and my coils were still perfect. My hair felt stronger; no snaps when detangling with a wide-tooth comb. This product works! I am more than pleased. I will most definitely be incorporating Nexxus Emergencee into my regimen and as my pre and post-treatment whenever I blow out and flat iron my hair. I may possibly even add it to my henna treatments. Ladies, I know it's a little pricey ($20 in LA), but it works and it's so worth it.
For the record, I have shoulder length hair (when stretched) that's mainly 4A with some 3C in the front and 4B at the nape. I had at least half a bottle left over. The products I used to cleanse, co-wash and deep condish were As I Am products.

if your hair is damaged it will help but not for very long. the effects fade pretty quickly :(

I'm not one to normally write reviews, but I am so in love with this product I just had to! So after coloring my hair with loreal feria hair color (never do it! destroys your hair!) I was suffering from significant hair damage. My hair was breaking and fried. I decided to try this product since I was desperate and it made my hair feel instantly better! I used the recommended shampoo and conditioner and shampooed before and after emergencee then I left conditioner on for 5 minutes. I know its pricey but honestly if you have damaged hair its so worth it! The bottle is small but i have collar bone length hair and only had to use about a quarter sized dollop. IN LOVE with nexxus emergencee!
