Do I need to pre-poo? Not really. Maybe if something caused my hair to completely dry out. Maybe.
Using oils before cleansing or co-washing seems like a good idea, but I don't want to waste the amazing scent by washing it away shortly after using.
So, while I don't use this as a pre-poo, I do use it as a sealant with the EVOO and moringa custard. The custard does double-duty as a leave-in and styler. I like to layer the fragrance, otherwise, it will fade through the day. The combination of the pre poo and custard locks in my style, keeps my hair soft and shiny, and provides moisture that lasts.

It's not too overpowering. After using it my hair was a lot softer and detangling was a breeze. The only downside is the size. I would expect a larger quantity for the price. But it all natural so that does compensate some.
