Okay... I'm 38 and have been diabetic for over 20 years. This is the best test strip you're gonna find. I've used every brand of monitor, and every lancet ever made. This and the Freestyle Flash are my favorite. The OneTouch Delica is by far the most painless of all the lancets. Yes, you are poking your finger and drawing blood and it's NEVER gonna be pain free. With OneTouch though, all of the monitors use the same test strip. No other brand does that.

the test strips are fine, i hate needles and just started using these devices so i have trouble getting enough blood out sometimes so it would be nice if it required LESS blood. enough a speck is too much for me! also, it's pretty expensive.

The Ultra test strip system is very good. I've used several different competing products and like the Ultra Best. But I have to say that their advertise about 'Painless' testing is absolute BUNK. The strips use less blood for a sample, true... but you still have to lance your fingers the first time. This is only an advantage in case your first finger lance does not provide enough blood for a sample and you have to retest.

Hypoglycemia without diabetes runs in my family and I have always been one to check my sugar and blood pressure. I want to be genetics I suppose. Recently though, I have been trying to lose weight and as a result been having issues with controling my sugar, especially at school when I have classes all day. So, I purchased the Ultra Mini because it is portable, these test strips are so much better than the ones I used before. My only gripe is the cup they come in is so huge. It doesn't fit in the small pouch that the mini comes with. I still would recommened to anyone who is interested in testing or needs to test.

Priced way too high for a person without insurance. Each strip averages out to be one buck per strip. Crazy!
