Pros: Painless, Accurate, Reliable, Compact, Easy To Use

To the reviewer who had trouble getting an accurate reading: At this time the FDA requires meters to come within a 20% accuracy of a lab test. So variances are inevitable occasionally with any meter or test strips. There are a few important things that you can do to help ensure accuracy though like making sure your hands are always clean before doing a test as it can throw a reading off by a lot if otherwise. Also, performing a control solution test every now and then can help give peace of mind that the meter is working properly. As well as changing the batteries.

All that said, I personally have found my One Touch meter to be very accurate. Usually with any reading varience coming within 10 points of my inital test. Far more accurate than a couple other brands I own.

My only con about the One Touch test strips are that they seem to require more blood than other brands. If you don't get enough blood on it quickly the first time, you'll get an error message and have to start again with a fresh strip. With a box of 100 test strips running retail price around $100 at the pharmacy, this can be costly if it happens too often. Hopefully one day though they'll improve upon this.

I give the test strips an 8 out of 10.
And the One Touch meters themselves a 10. :)

Pros: Easy To Use, Accurate, Compact

Cons: 3 strips 3 different, Inaccurate

The test strips(5 were used)gave different reading from 160-138! Tried another new vial of strips, and finally came within 3 points of a decient reading, 136,(tried 2 more strips) then I felt comfortable with the results.How can someone testing 5 times a day feel comfortable with that! This is the second meter within 2.5 months[...]
