Rated 2 out of 5 by Sassy Girl Disappointed
I remember when this product first came out, I saw articles about this in Essence Magazine. After all the hype and reviews, I decided to give this a try. I had worn weaves and braids and noticed my temples were looking really sparse. I followed the instructions and after a while, I saw no difference. I was disappointed that the product did not live up to its name. A friend of mine suggested Castor Oil and Rosemary Oil and I was shocked. This worked! I then ordered some Jamaican Black Castor oil and I could see the difference!
I am upset about this product, for the price I paid and it DID NOT WORK!!! I can not in clear conscience recommend this to anyone. But I must say, don't let my experience turn you off. Some products work for others and some don't. This product did not work for me.

Do people ever read instructions. There is clear instructions on the bottle to do a patch test and wait 24 hours to see if you are allergic to it before you use it. Seems some people cant read and they make it sound like the product doestn work for everyone. Anyway it worked very well for me. My edges were thinning from constant braiding of my hair and I used it and the hait grew back. I would totally recommend this to a friend

Rated 4 out of 5 by High maintenance Worked for my daughter
I bought the product for my daughter who had thin edges due to braids and constant pull back hairstyles. We started noticing hair growth sooner than we expected. As I get older, I'm beginning to notice thin spots and edges and plan on purchasing the product for myself. It's unfortunate that it didn't work for some users, but chemicals react differently to different people thats why we have to do a patch test before contining to use it. I would and have recommended this product to friends.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Gee S worked for me - no allergic reactions
I have been using this product for years only on bald spots though. Whenever I get bald spots from either chemical irritations or around the edges from pulling my hair back so often - I used the temple balm or serum to stimulate regrowth. Once little hairs grow back in those areas I then treat & condition whole head with my regular hair-care products. I prefer the balm over the serum - depends on whether I am going natural or relaxed. Do allergy patch test first.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Sassy Sharon DON'T USE THIS PRODUCT!
I purchased the temple balm for some thinning issues I was having along my temples and atop my Widow's peak area. I used the product for two weeks. My hair along the temples and in the front, which was about 8 to 10 inches long, broke off to about an inch! I now have quarter sized patches of hair broken in the front of my head because of this product. I was shocked when this occurred since this was the first time using it and I'd followed the directions of not using any chemical products for so many days before/after usage. This was the only change that I'd made in my hair-care schedule. I was informed to try this product by my stylist, who has twenty years of experience and who also has used the product on clients with excellent results. She told me that since I was healthy and had a healthy scalp that the product would be good for me to generate growth at my areas I mentioned before. After I condulted my dermatologist to check to see if I had some type of scalp condition that I wasn't aware of, I contacted and showed my stylist what had occurred. She was shocked as well. Not just by my breakage, but by the fact that she had another client that had come to her the day prior with burnt patches where your product, the temple balm, had burned her skin like a chemical burn. She was thankful that that hadn't occurred to me. My natural hair is not chemically treated or colored, I have no allegies or diseases of the scalp. So..it's difficult for me to understand why this happened. If I could, I'd return the product. I have no plans to ever use any of the Root Simulator brands and my stylists has instructed all of her clients to stop its usage as well. It's unforunate that now my hair is long and thank God still beautiful, oh ...except for the broke off patches in the front that will take months to catch up with the surrounding longer strands. To tell the truth, I wouldn't trust any of these products after this disaster.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Jasmine Works but it made me break out
My edges came out due to a harsh perm and this product was used to help my hair grow back in that area. It worked but my problem with this product is that it made my skin break out badly. I don't know ingredient in this product that I am allergic to, but my skin looked horrible while I used this product. Never suspected it until I stopped using it and then my skin cleared up again. I would recommend this if you are not allergic to it!
