It doesn't go in the ear far enough to get the crud out. I'll stick to the q-tips even though on the rare occasion it shoves the ear wax in further and causes muffled hearing. Otherwise the product is well made and is hard plastic which is very well rounded and has no sharp areas. It just doesn't work with my ears.

I bought this ear wax removal tool at Walgreens for $6. It worked within seconds the first time I used it. It's easy and comfortable to use, and the ear guard prevents the loop from making contact with the eardrum. No more doctor visits to remove ear wax!

I really like these little tools to clean my ears after I take a shower. They assure me that I won't shove it into my ear canal too far and I usually have some ear was to remove when I scrape inside my ear canal. I only wish they came with a case because they usually end up breaking on me because of my transporting them places.

I struggled for years with wax build up. I would have dizzy spells when it would get bad and go to the doctor and have them irrigate it. My ear canal is very small and the wax didn't just work it's way out. It would build up and create all sorts of issues. My friend recommended the Ototek several years ago and I haven't been without it since. I've had no more ear issues since using it. I use it every time I shower and it works great! Thanks Ototek!

I'm not sure exactly what I was expecting, but when I opened & used this product, it was pretty useless. It didn't do what I was thinking it would do, i.e. get wax out of my ear canal. It's just a hard skinny long clear plastic rod with a large plastic attached guard perpendicular to the rod so that it won't puncture your eardrum. I knew all that but thought it would work even just a little better. I'd have to have an earful of wax before it would be helpful and by the time I left my ears alone to collect enough wax, I'm sure the accumulated wax would be visible to EVERYBODY. Yuck!
