It is recommended that you replace the outer foil at least every year to maintain your shaver's cutting performance.

To replace the outer foil:  Remove the old outer foil from the foil frame by slipping it off the hooks (Caution: the foil may spring out when released from the hooks).  Slip the foil into the frame and guide the plastic edges facing inward.  Guide the plastic edges onto the hooks in the frame.
