I used the Playtex storage rings when my daughter was nursing 3 years ago. I then needed to purchase more with the recent birth of my son. Unfortunately, Playtex has made changes that negatively impact the quality of this product. It is VERY difficult to get the rings to seal airtight. I will sometimes try for 10 minutes and lose an ounce of milk just by sealing and unsealing. The plastic seems thicker than it used to be. As a result, it's harder to seal them shut. Considering the cost of these kits, you might want to shop around for a cheaper alternative for how to store your milk.
