Pros: Works really fast, Healing, Lightweight

The first time I tried this product I put it only on the sore. That wasn't the way to go. It worked but it didn't reach its full potential. If you use this similar to chapstick (dont use a lot of it but enough to make it fell like you are using chapstick) it works wonders. I first noticed my cold sore forming on sunday and since i have been using it like chapstick my cold sore never even looked like a cold sore, it didn't scab or crack or anything. and being around people all the time that was really great because i hate that self conscious feeling you get when you have one. anyways it's now friday and there is only a tiny bit of it that needs to heal but this stuff really is amazing because it never looked like a cold sore and it cleared up so fast and so nicely. oh but look around before you buy it because you can buy it pretty cheap some places.

I've gotten cold sores for all 23 years of my life and almost nothing has been effective against cold sores for me and this stuff is no different. I had high hopes when it did slightly relieve the pain and burning, but it wore off quickly. After applying for 24 hours my cold sore got worse and was blistering. I did feel that this product was helping but not much more than any lip balm. It's very greasy and doesn't absorb much at all. Bottom line: does nothing to stop or even slow down a cold sore and little to speed healing. Use walgreens cold sore treatment topical antiseptic instead. I tried it today and its no joke (like this stuff).

This stuff is amazing. I have gotten cold sores for years and nothing ever seemed to work. Over the last couple of years I've used Abreva. Didn't cut my healing time down any. It sometimes seemed to make it worse. Then I met someone who told me about the L-Lysine vitamins. I started taking those on a daily basis and had fewer outbreaks. And when I did have an outbreak, I would just double up on the L-Lysine and it would heal faster. Well I'm pregnant now and was informed it may not be safe to take the L-Lysine vitamin. There haven't been enough tests done. So I researched topical Lysine ointments and came across this. I went straight out and bought some. Within a couple hours the redness and swelling had gone down. And here it is, the next morning, and you can hardly notice it. I plan on letting my Doctor know about this one in case she ever comes across more patients with the same problem. The only thing I don't really like about it is the color. Yes it goes on clear, but the initial color reminds me of snot.

I have been getting cold sores since I was a little kid (i'm 31 now) and nothing ever seemed to work and the healing time was a good 2 weeks. Abreeva is a total joke. Finally about 2 years ago I came across Releev and that seemed to really help however, this time around, my cold sore was enormous, it was the size of a quarter...that's huge. I have had this cold sore for 6 days and it was NASTY. Releev wasn't doing anything for this big one so I read these reviews and went straight to [@] last night and purchased it. I was shocked at what I saw in the mirror this morning. My cold sore is half the size and already healing!! Needless to say I will have this in my medicine cabinet from now on!

Pros: Easy To Use

I bought this product based on the good reviews. I loved it! In 3 days my cold sore was healed its almost completely gone. I would definately buy it again. Being the first time getting a cold sore I wasnt sure how this product would work but it worked for me! I would definately buy it again! Its easy to put on and does go on clear!
