Pros: good product essentially

Cons: currently poor quality

This Benecalorie "liquid" product is not liquid. In the last several orders, it has been mostly solid and dry, and difficult to use. Would seem like poor storage maybe? As this is needed to enhance food for a person with great swallowing difficulty, it is poor.

This product is literally a life saver for those that have lost weight due to an illness and is having a hard time putting on weight. It does have a "sutle taste" so be sure to mix with food. I definitely recommend. My mother used it after her cancer treatments and now I have another family member using it to put on the pounds!

Really helps to add the calories

Pros: it really works.

Cons: i wish it were available in stores.

My husband was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and began to lose a lot of weight as a result of the chemo and the cancer. This product was recommended by a nutritionist at a cancer seminar I attended. I would ad it to whatever my husband had a taste for, especially milkshakes, smoothies and frappuccino's which were already high in calories. He actually gained a few pounds back after using for a couple of weeks. He said he couldn't taste it & didn't even know I added anything. I would highly recommend this product. I received the product in the mail just as the estimated delivery time said.

Cons: product has an oily texture

This product has worked wonders for our daughters. It has an oily look and texture but we mix it with 12 oz of whole milk and carnation instant breakfast (they drink it throughout the day) and they do not taste it. Both girls have feeding issues and were not gaining weight and this product has helped a lot. One daughter has issues with the volume of liquids she drinks so this has been great. It has a lot of calories for a in a volume of liquids.

We've had good success with desired weight gain by stirring or blending this calorie dense supplement into cold foods that are already sweet or can use sweetness.

Smoothies, cereal, puddings are all suddenly 350 calories heftier without the bulk of something like Ensure which my husband finds so filling that he ends up skipping a meal.
