Rated 4 out of 5Â by HappyKid I like these Rock On energy shots. They work the same as 5 Hour Energy, & they both have the same nasty taste. It gives me a boost of energy when I wake up feeling tired in the morning, & keeps me energized throughout the day. I prefer a Rock On 6-pack because it costs less then a 5 Hour 6-pack.

I work for a company where I do alot of driving and work long hours. I discovered 5 hour energy a year or so ago, the price was killing my pocket book though. Knowing that it(5 hour energy) worked for me, I tried the Rock On from Walgreens. I was very suprised at how well it worked, as well as the otherbrand for sure. The Orange tasted very good and I actually enjoy the taste of it, there Berry not so much! I am very glad there is a less expensive alternative!

I started a new job working with computers all day so its not the most exciting thing to do Mon-Fri. I also don't get much sleep because I simply choose to stay up late surfing the web or playing games. So to stay awake in the morning or usually later in the afternoon, I went to Walgreens to pick up a case of 5-Hour Energy Drink when I saw the price and went "wow, 6 bottles for that much?". Then next to it I saw 6 bottles of Rock On Energy for half the price and said "why not?". I drank it and felt great! More awake, focused, and made me stop yawning. I now usually bring a bottle with me every day when I start to feel drowsy. The taste just fine, and I kinda like it, unlike other energy drinks out there. I sometimes also mix it with a bottle of water to think I'm distributing the energy in smaller doses and panning it out to try to get more of a boost when I need it. I tend to buy off-brand non-major company food and drink products, and this one is one of those that works just as good, if not better. As for side effects, I sometimes feel hot, and apparently its suppose to do that to know that it's working. I don't have any heart problems and I'm a bit overweight so that's pretty awesome. No crash either.

I decided to try this out instead of 5 Hour Energy because I have a test tomorrow and wanted to stay awake to study longer and this was a bit cheaper with the same ingredients. This stuff tastes awful, it tasted so bad I could barely down it all but somehow I managed. I got a crash later too despite what it says on the bottle. It upped my heart rate and I am not someone with heart problems. I do not normally consume caffeine so it usually works very well on me, but this did not and I still ended up taking a nap a few hours later. And the taste made me feel just awful, even more than 7 hours later like I wanted to throw up. Not to mention that website printed on the bottle doesn't seem to exist and it looks like Walgreens is the only place that sells it so it's the only place I can warn people not to buy it.
It worked for a little while though, maybe two to three hours, but the after effects of it don't make it worth taking by any means. It would probably work for weight loss because you'll feel like puking later and not eating anything for a while.

I have replaced a lot of caffeine with these and find myself sleeping better, feeling better, and consequently my appetite has curbed a bit. I like these better than 5 hour energy and they cost less
