These are still disposable diapers, but they have not been bleached etc. so they are a bit better for the environment. I have two children, so I have tried all sorts of diapers, and these are actually better, in that they fit perfectly, AND they absorb well. They became my favourite very quickly.

Not only are these diapers better than other brands at stopping leaks, but they are also free of dyes and perfumes! Combine that with their ability to biodegrade faster than other brands, and I don't know why anyone would use any other disposable diaper.
